[B][I]High heels, big deal, I'll kick your ass
She was usually much more cautious about new arrivals, going by the book or more or less copying what Hayley had said to her when she arrived. However this time became different. It became different as soon as she came face to face with this new comer. As soon as she realized who he was. Whether he was here to join or some other business she hadn't a clue, but her eyes lit up at the very sight of her familiar friend.

[b]"Russo!" she called happily, running towards the older man out of excitement. She almost fell over once or twice because of the snow, but she never truly fell over. The bundled up Australian would be quick to wrap her arms around him once reaching him. Her hood would fall from her head due to the running, making her ginger hair stand out against the snowy aesthetic, the warm color standing out quite well.

"How are you? What are you doing here? Are you joining?" she was a bit excited to see them. Only a bit.

as she approached the pair, it became quickly clear that this russo and blake knew each other. leaving them to have their merry little reunion, hayley stood back for the time being, until she knew what the male's purpose was.

JUST STANDING WAITING FOR THE PUNCHES
Flintlock was an odd place; Tomorrow had only happened upon it by accident, as he'd already been wandering the mountains for months beforehand. He remembered those months fondly, though looking back on it he knew it was a miracle he'd survived so long on his own.

Nowadays his days were spent training and caring for the Lodge's dogs alongside his own, doing chores around the Lodge and doing the occasional bit of hunting and firewood gathering. He tried to keep busy, wanting to prove his worth to the Lodge; logically he knew nobody would fault him from stepping back from a few of his duties, but he liked keeping busy.

In the moment, he was going along a fairly well-traveled patrol route. He knew Hayley and Brendan were ahead of him, but he found himself mentally recoiling at the idea of trying to join them. Brendan didn't like him, and he didn't want to battle his complicated feelings about Hayley right now. But as if fate wanted to laugh in his face, he came upon a stopped Hayley and Brendan, alongside Blake and a stranger.

Blake seemed to know this man, since she was hugging him and was clearly excited to see him. Tomorrow let a soft smile naturally jump to his features, happy to see Blake so excited.

He came to a stop beside Brendan, watching the scene unfold with faint amusement. He didn't know who that man was, but clearly he couldn't be too bad if Blake liked him so much.

The repetitive, monotonous sound of feet trudging through snow had drowned out all others as the man travelled towards the mountain. He'd been at it for days, counting every step he took and memorizing the total distance at night, before starting all over again. Every step forward was a step away from his home, but he couldn't stop.

It started out as any day would in an introvert's paradise; he'd wake up, check the house, grab some food, and pass out from boredom until his body refused to rest anymore. Of course, there were always things to do, but a man like russo Holloway required a bit of inspiration to do them. And, up until that fateful stranger rumbled into his house, there was no one to provide such motivation. Besides, who could resist a giant, beady-eyed angel, looking for a friend? even someone like him couldn't, that was certain.

So, here he was, bundled up from head to toe, bag stuffed full of supplies over his back, making what felt like a heroic fantasy journey to return the hulking beast beside him to his rightful companion. Looking through his frosted glasses, the man raised his head to spot the scattered buildings and smoke rising between the trees. He grinned, turning his head to the lumbering mass of black fur. "You think he missed you?" He withdrew a gloved hand to give the dog a few pats, ruffling the heavy, snow dusted coat. The tail swish in response was as good as any. "I think so too."

However, he would have never guessed flintlock would be the place to settle down, for anybody. Granted, it did get pretty chilly back home, but it was nothing in comparison to this; and today had been a sunny one, at that. Despite taking immense precaution in making sure he didn't freeze to death along the way, he still felt like a walking icicle; his nose had been reddened and numb for some time now, and his legs were like rusted iron. The ends of his hair that stuck out from his hat and hood was laced with snowflakes, and burned his cheeks when the wind pushed him against his skin. If one thing was for certain, he couldn't wait to get back to his couch. [/span]
