ZEN ELLINGTON BELMONTE
'
known to friends as ellie. mother calls her zen. '
'
age twenty-four years old. that age where she's cradled in between where she's supposed to be figuring out the person she should be. she was born nov. 5th. '
' ✧ Ellington was born into an incredibly simplistic, yet privileged life. in the cul-de-sac of a suburb called glenoak, she was the middle child of five and therefore, the least of their attention. it's not as if Ellie could blame them, though. each belmonte child seemed to harvest some talent. the oldest, Vinny, could dance his ass off. kim, the second eldest, was naturally pretty, gaining her a modeling career. Sarah? her sister is only fifteen and has been through every sport in the book. Chase? He's just cute. Ellington, on the other hand, was just issues. She craved for a side of a world she didn't quite get, her desires insatiable. It seemed as if she often did more harm than good, even when she didn't try to, and ended up with a crowd that was out of her league, who she envied, giving herself to men who didn't deserve her. She'd be kicked out several times in life, face a pregnancy scare due to her boss, and face cruel repercussions to people she thinks were her friends, take two years off after graduation and turn to the bottle before she realized that this isn't quite the person she wants to be. Her brother, Vinny, is the one who gets her into treatment, forcing her to self-reflect on her life and where she found comfort in writing self-reflections in a notebook in demand to her psychiatrist. It's then Ellie discovered self-expression through her words, but she's as much of a procrastinator as she is a perfectionist. She currently majors in journalism with a minor in creative writing, and attempts to keep herself, but settled into her old habits with a new set way of partying. Unlike before, however, she's less brazen, blending into the background of her newest friends. Without the assistance of her parents, she's going through the motions of her life in upstate New York in a small apartment far too claustrophic for her liking. Alternative from her lack of inspiration, she tends to instead overshare online. Also is a camp counselor during the summer. '
✧ Has a thing for older men with money, status, & not into her.
✧ Seems to always attract those people anyway.
✧ Attempts to distract herself with the materialisic things her friends get her, as it’s the only way she knows how to cope
✧ Has a short temper for children, but seems to have a natural charm with them — they make her nervous though, but they always want to be around her and she always seems to be their favorite despite her clumsiness
✧ She’s particularly close to one of those counselors.
