As one might expect, the Lake of Gales houses its members along... well, a giant lake. The lake itself is named Lake  Auster, though it is more commonly referred to as the Lake of Gales, from which the clan gets its name. The territory is mostly an expanse of rolling plains, with marshes lining the northern side of the lake. There are many unique things about their territory as well, highlighted below.

TWIN RIVERS
The twin rivers are exactly as they sound- two rivers running through the territory. Primarily found in the marshy area, these rivers intertwine like snakes, crossing paths and creating little rapids where they do. For the most part, the rivers are fine to swim and hunt in, though there are dangerous areas each member should be warned about. Each time the rivers cross paths, it is a good rule of thumb to not go near the intersection. The rapids may look harmless but they can easily sweep members away if they are not careful. It is also a good idea to always stay near the banks of the river, as it can get quite deep if one isn't paying attention.

CAMP
Camp is located in a deep overhang near the lake's shore. It is filled with lush plant life, and vines have grown to cover most of the entrance, keeping wind out (for the most part). Over the years, the walls have been built up with mud and grassy thatches to further insulate the area, especially in the wintertime. The overhang does not lead into a cave, but small nooks in its stone walls have been carved out over time to make nests for its members. The lack of light in camp is solved with handmade torches being plastered to the wall and burned. Each torch burns eternally, as each one represents a former leader's soul.

THE ZEPHYR ISLE
This island rests not quite in the center of the lake, as it is closer to the shore, but still somewhat far out. This island is used as a place to carry out spiritual traditions. Like the rest of the territory, it is blanketed in lush vegetation and flora. In the center of the island, there is a clearing and a bonfire pit for the clan's different traditions. It is also said that when not in use, members secretly go there to do illicit things like hold paws. Members of the Lake can reach the island via rafts built during certain events.

THE RUINS
The ruins are exactly what one might expect. Far to the south of the territory, ruins of marble buildings litter the plains. These ruins are sacred, however- it is how the Lake of Gales learned about democracy and the judicial system. The ruins are similar to those found in Rome or Greece, with large pillars and statues of deities long forgotten. For those searching, books can be found, dense with knowledge eager to be shared.

Ranks ⚜⚜
[color=black]Fraction key: number of members occupying the rank / max amount of members occupying the rank. Note that the fraction does not have to be full- for example, there can be 2 deputies and there is no need to appoint more, but their number cannot exceed 4.

LEADER: Self-explanatory. They lead the clan through times of trouble and times of fortune, always loyal and putting their clanmates above themselves. They have total authority. The leader is voted on by the clan, and can be overthrown if their members see fit. HP. 1/1

DEPUTIES: Assistants to the leader. They act as leader when the leader is away or sick, and one of them will step up to take their place when the leader is unfit to lead anymore. The leader may ask them to host meetings, events, or conference with other clans. Their power is given to them by the leader, and they are appointed to their position by the leader. HP. 0/4

MEDIC: The healer of the clan. They ensure each member is in good health, and when they are not, turn their full attention to them to get them back on their feet. The medic also trains a successor throughout their career. They choose their apprentice. HP. 0/1

MEDIC ASSISTANT: The medic's apprentice. They train to become the next medic of the clan. HP. 0/2

JUDGES: The members able to sentence criminals. They do not act as a judge full time, and simply step up when they are needed. There must always be an odd number of judges. SHP. 0/5

The Lake of Gales is unique because it has a special system of electing leadership, but also because it has a judicial system to judge members that have committed crimes against the clan. It is only partially democratic, however. The leader appoints multiple deputies, and when it is time for a new leader, the entire clan votes on one of the deputies to step up. This way leadership is not simply a popularity contest, it is a position earned through hard work.

As for the judicial system, the Lake of Gales has a court that puts possible enemies on trial. The court decides whether the enemy is guilty or not, and depending on the declaration, sentences them to whatever they see fit. The court comprises of three or five trustworthy members of the clan, but there is never an even number to avoid ties.

The Lake of Gales also houses an interesting tradition of farming. Being built along a body of water, with two rivers serving as natural irrigation systems, the soil in their plains is rather good for growing food and herbs. This way, they do not have to rely on simply scavenging for these things when they need them- there is always a ready supply.

The Lake of Gales is a proclan, believing strongly in doing what is right in order to be honorable. They are not currently allied with any clans, though they are not opposed to it. They take their alliances seriously however- they expect an effort to be put into the relationship between their clans.
