he nodded and stood. “grace, honey, steve and i gotta go. you’re staying with aunt kathy- i’ll see if there’s any pictures i can get for you, but no promises.” he said and kissed her head. she hummed. “ok, danno. be safe!” she said and kissed his cheek. danny led steve out and handed him his keys- as usual.

[peridot.]

Steve waved bye to Grace and headed out with Danny, grinning when the keys were handed to him. Moving into the driver's seat, he said softly to the other, "Chin said that apparently this is pretty gruesome..."

[dannychan]

danny got in and sighed. “nothing we’re not used to.” he said and shrugged. “and i’m gonna beat your ass for trying to get me all risked up in front of my kid.” he scolded.

[peridot.]

"I wasn't trying to rile you up! I was punishing you for saying I want you to be hurt when you know that's not true." He said, huffing and shaking his head.

[dannychan]

he flicked his ear gently. “have you never heard of teasing, you animal!” he huffed.

[peridot.]

"I am not an animal! Besides, I was just teasing you too!" He said, smirking as he stuck his tongue out, before covering his ear, "And no flicking the driver."

[dannychan]

he rolled his eyes, and once they were at a stop light, he moved to give him a gentle kiss. “well, no teasing me in front of my kid!”

[peridot.]

Kissing back, he said softly with a small smile, "Oh fine, but you shouldn't gang up on me with your kid and act like I'm an animal~"

[dannychan]

danny turned beat red and clears his throat. chin sighed on the other end. “hey, we got a case. it’s pretty.. uh.. gruesome. grave should probably stay with kathy.” he explained.

Steve blinked and said softly with a small frown, "Oh, alright... We'll be there right away.." Turning to Danny, he said softly, "We've gotta go, but Grace should probably stay here... It's a bad one."
