Silas Overton is very much a wild card, his incredibly hostile, impetuous and extroverted personality often volatile and quite concerning to most. He tends to be known for his sarcastic, strong and snippy personality, sometimes his pompous presence a little too overwhelming for some. He's very assertive in his ways, often marching about oh-so arrogantly and demanding things to be done his way. He just tends to be more vicious than anything really, irrationally & bluntly showing people what he thinks of them whether he tells them straight out that he'd be happy to put "a bullet through their head" or whether he lets them know that they better stay clear of him, there is no doubt that you'll know what he thinks of you at the end of the day. He has an almost false confidence, somehow pulling off the vain but not-too-disdainful, spiteful but not-too-irritating attitude, as well as having the appearance of something so virtuous. Being so outspoken and abrasive causes more people to steer away from getting too close to him, only a few able to really put up with his very unpredictable, manic ways. Many people just find him to be a cunning, grinning idiot whose venomous words are enough to make little kids cry, and even so he still manages to find people who actually like him for who he is; they may think this is only a very hard, stormy shell which, when cracked, will reveal an angel out of Sy. That is probably not true because he actually is an ass to just about everyone. However, if you dig deeper into the complicated boy's personality, you will find a boy with such a troubled self esteem, it's unbelievable. He is just incredibly defensive and so puts up a guard which means that just about nobody can really see him in a vulnerable state. He just doesn't do vulnerable. Instead, you'll find the male very subtly clinging onto people he does get close to, noticing how he will gravitate towards them often to find support when he wants it. However, one can never really find out whether he is actually fond of somebody unless he says so himself (which is very rare to say the least) as he never really shows any appreciation and fondness towards people. However, those who do decide to give the boy a chance, they do manage to see passed his loud-mouthed, snarky ways and instead see a very intelligent and very caring male hidden behind his nightmarish facade. for the few who really manage to catch Silas' attention, they find themselves a very loyal & protective friend who will go to the very end to defend those he loves. He relies heavily on the few friends he's got mostly because, despite acting so independent and hostile, he craves any sort of affection and love. He is very closed off but does seem to silently appreciate those who do give him some sort of adoration and, despite his scornful attitude, he can also be a massive clown towards those he likes, his impulsive and daring ways allowing him to do playful things perhaps the average person knows is a really stupid thing to do. He can be quite the awkward person to deal with as, when you do creep into his heart, he'll do whatever it takes to keep you there; even if it means blackmailing you or guilt-tripping you into being around him, he'll do it - sadly, he can't help but be this way due to his mindset. Relationships with him are intense, mostly because he himself is a very strong and pushy character, but alternatively you manage to see the very humble and sincere man he is who is determined to 'be there' for his closest friends. He has some wit and humor in his words when he's in a particularly good mood, too, and if you creep passed his bullish semblance, you will find a very faithful and, though he's very flawed, an incredibly genuine man in Sy. Some dislike him for his stinking attitude; others insist he's just a misunderstood little soul. as for Silas? Hah - Silas couldn't care any less.
