lark liked his life as a loner. he knew about the clans of cats that fought together, hunted together, and slept together. they were a unit. he didn't like that. lark was more of a loner type. he didn't need the companionship of others and he liked not having to rely on anyone else. it was his way of life and he didn't care to change it.

that was until he met another loner, as cliché as it might sound, and he didn't want to be away from her. he suddenly understood why the cats stuck together. they became closer than lark thought was possible over a short period of time and soon enough she had him wrapped around her finger. wherever she went, lark was never too far behind. one day she voiced her dream was to join the clan that was as swift as the wind. she raved about them for weeks on end until she finally gained up the courage to go and try to join. lark, as usual, followed right behind her. he didn't want to join a clan. he wanted to stay lonely. but he didn't want to lose her. soon enough they were on their way to windclan. his long legs carried him through forests and clearings and everything in between. they traveled for what felt like moons. and their journey was uneventful. that was until they decided to rest at a farm for the night. when the brown tabby awoke the next morning, his dear friend was nowhere to be found. hell, he searched and searched until he couldn't walk any longer. she wouldn't just up and leave him. right?

lark decided that the only way to find her again was to go to the place her heart was at. maybe she had gone ahead of him and was waiting. lark began again on his journey. when he asked one of the barn cats for directions, they told him that it wasn't far. lark sped up his steps from that point and could tell he was almost there based on the mingling scent of cats. he noticed a border but didn't care. maybe he could find her without joining.

[align=center][align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]Thorntongue was born a Clanner, but that didn't mean he didn't understand the concept of isolation. Thorntongue liked to be alone, his personality kept that wall up between himself and the others. His reliance on others was only out of loyalty, he didn't need anyone else. Sure, he missed Stripedwhisker, but she was gone now.

Cats weren't his kind of thing - he wouldn't make decisions based on or what others were doing, or feeling. Medicine cats acted by StarClan's wishes, he needed to be disconnected from the Clans, the cats.. it was easy to forget after a while. He didn't need anyone, he was StarClan's speaker. That was all that he really needed to do, that was all he needed to be.

He was gathering herbs by the border when he caught the scent of a Clanless cat. Concerning, to say the least. Tilting his ears and padding closer, Thorntongue let out a call. "Hello? What're you doing over there?"

[div style="width: 450px; margin: auto; text-align: justify"]waxstar was lucky enough to never meet a nonclan cat, but new things happened every day. such as lwleaving camp and meeting someone new. he knew most other cats wouldn’t want someone without clan blood, but.. he wouldn’t mind it. as he moved slowly along, he would find thorntongue speaking to a stranger, and the male would stop beside him. “whos this?” he grunted

Personality — personality type (or alignment)
— [trigger warning: depression, suicidal thoughts] Waxface is a very coldhearted and distrusting of nearly everyone- even those he grew up with. he is, in general, a very tough and rough guy, and tends to come off as rude. often times, he makes sarcastic comments, and pushes those who try to get close away. he tends to dislike others who are overly nice or optimistic, seeing the world as a horrible and bland place. thanks to all of this- his pessimistic view of the world and the fact that he has no one, he suffers from depression, and it isn't uncommon for him to have suicidal thoughts. Thanks to said depression, he is often tired and has no energy to do anything- staying in his nest most days and ignoring his duties. there are times where he considers just retiring and becoming an elder early, but feels that it'd be better just to end himself. There are days when has energy, but those days are few and far between.

Moving on from main personality, wax is a male with many fears, most of which are insignificant and don't effect his life in any way. however, he does have two phobias. the first phobia is his worst, and for good reason: dogs. he used to be fearless and careless, but after being attacked by a dog, this faded away. he lives in constant fear of encountering another dog, that he rarely leaves camp. if he does leave, he is constantly on guard and doesn't relax. the second fear is not as bad, but it is what makes him push people away: his fear of abandonment. after his attack (which was partly due to his mother leaving the clans and him trying to run away to be with her), he started pushing away so they wouldn't have a chance to leave.

despite all of his negativity, there is some light in the darkness. he has a secret soft spot for elders and kits, though he doesn't show it. he still enjoys playing games, and will often times sit and watch the kits play from a distance. he will sometimes decide to kick around the moss ball himself. he can sometimes be caught smiling on rainy days, will lay in the sun if its sunny, loves the sound of thunder, and enjoys the smell of daisies.

BIO | Pinefall  kept her long, sharp claws unsheathed as she made her way over to where Lark was standing. "Hello," the pretty feline said softly, studying the other feline with her intense yellow-eyed gaze. She was ready to pounce in case of danger, but she was secretly hoping that this would be another joiner. She, at one point in her life, had detested cats who had been born outside of Windclan. But Windclan needed more cats, and she was willing to put her prejudices aside to welcome new members into the Clan.
