[justify]things were moving fairly slowly, and it was getting boring. sure, he had left camp, but that had exhausted him to a point that sleep wouldn't help. he had been laying on his little boulder, letting the sun beat down on his face nearly all day, yet.. he still felt drained. he had done just fine yesterday, so why was he so off today?

he sighed as he closed his eyes once again, setting his head on his paws and listening as the kits played.

/this is short and bad but ugh im sleepy so lmao

Rapidpaw had been pretty bored. She didn’t have much to do today and was getting restless. She wanted to do something. Something fun. But what was there to do around camp? Not much really.

A certain Tom caught her attention though. Waxface. Her ears angled forward to him. He seemed to be pretty lazy today. A playful purr suddenly welled up in her. She then fell silent, starting to silently stalk towards the deputy, staying as quiet as she could.

Once she was close enough, her body wiggled a bit. She then leapt at Waxface, attempting to tackle him.

[align=center][div style="background=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 500px; font-size: 11px; line-height: 125%; text-align:justify;"]Mudgrub, for one, hadn't been doing much around camp. However, that wasn't saying much -- he doubted anyone actually expected him to be a productive member of society. He mostly did things that didn't matter to anyone else, things that only he really cared about. And that was fine, it didn't bother him. Most others didn't have the mental capacity to understand the inner workings of his mind... Or, at least, that's what he thought. In actuality, he was probably just so scatterbrained and different from his peers. But with his delusions of grandeur, he saw himself as more intelligent and important than the "average warrior."

The tomcat spotted his apprentice leap towards the deputy and scrutinized the attack through narrowed eyes. Her form was understandably not yet perfected, however definitely wasn't too bad, all things considered. He walked over, plopping himself beneath the boulder Wax laid upon, staring up at him curiously. He just left camp for the first time in forever, right? Grubby couldn't necessarily say he was proud of him, considering leaving camp was something most others did rather frequently. Not to mention he was the deputy, so he really should've gotten up the courage to leave camp earlier. Still, he was pleased the other was beginning to step outside of his comfort zone... quite literally.

"Hey, pal," Mud said in his usual loud tone. He reached a hind leg over to scratch a tick behind his ear, a sign he should probably take better care of himself but probably never would. He looked over at Rapidpaw, offering her a toothy smile. "Doin' good, kid." He usually wasn't much for complimenting others, but seeing as he saw himself in her, being her mentor and all, he felt a swell of pride seeing her like this.

[spoiler=tags — 6/20/18]( NAME. ) Mudgrub | & | Mud - After his muddy and fluffy coat when he was born. | grub - After his strange mannerisms and overall wormy personality.
( NICKNAMES. ) Grubby (an informal variant of his traditional name)

( GENDER. ) Cisgender male, using he/him pronouns
( SEXUALITY. ) Unknown; hasn't shown any romantic interest in anyone, but presumably is interested in the aspect of a relationship.
( AGE. ) 28 moons. February 9th. Aquarius.

( ALLIANCE. ) Born and raised in WindClan.
( RANK. ) Warrior. Almost didn't get promoted from apprentice because of his lack of interest in actually working, but eventually buckled down and got promoted.
( FAMILY. ) NPCs; deceased.

( APPEARANCE. ) Grubby is what would be classified as a silver cinnamon tabby. His fur is a very light, diluted grayish-brown with more saturated tabby markings. He's scrawny and scraggly, and is rather short compared to others his age. His fur is usually unkempt, as he doesn't care about physical appearances, and is too long for him to put much effort into. His eyes are a pale yet murky green, wide and expressive. His body has a few scars here and there, most (if not all) of them from his general stupidity and careless attitude towards consequences. He would be a rather handsome cat if he took the time to take care of himself and his appearance, but since he has absolutely no reason to in his mind, he doesn't think twice about walking around looking like a mess.

( REFERENCES. ) Here.

( PERSONALITY. ) Right off the bat, you'll notice that Mudgrub is definitely far from the most intelligent creature. However, he's rather narcissistic and would never admit ignorance on any subject, even if he's painfully lacking in knowledge on them. In fact, he often tries to prove he knows more about things than others by throwing out terms that relate to the subject at hand and mirroring what the others are saying without any real understanding about what they're talking about. Even though he's sorely lacking in logic and general intelligence, he's very socially aware. He can be very manipulative if he finds a reason to be and if need be, can form complex schemes.

Mudgrub has deep rooted self esteem issues and sense of shame towards himself. He covers this by expecting to be in a place of authority, often trying to do so through manipulation and scheming. As a result, he often causes a lot of havoc in his wake. He never takes responsibility for his actions or their consequences, either because he doesn't realize or doesn't care to. He's prone to fits of rage, especially when his character is being question or he's being wronged or not listened to. This is likely due, in part, to his paranoia or delusions of grandeur.

He is intensely patriotic and feels a strong sense connection to his Clan. Because of this, he's wary of others joining or half-Clanners. He despises kittypets, seeing them as plush and unaware of the struggles of "the real world." He also has ambiguous beliefs towards StarClan. He was, of course, raised believing it, but often has trouble accepting the reality of it. While he doesn't voice his wavering beliefs on StarClan, he does show a certain level of discomfort when talking about it.

( TV TROPES ) Anti-Hero; Beware The Silly Ones; Chaotic Stupid; Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass; Delusions Of Eloquence; Idiot Savant; Know-Nothing Know-It-All; Wild Card
( ALIGNMENT ) Chaotic neutral.

[align=center][div style="0px; width:500px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; line-height:13px;"] Pebblekit couldn't wait to get out of camp and run around like the other felines in camp got to do. Besides kits, of course. It was exciting to think about all the new things he would see one day. Though, it seemed to make Waxface sleepy. Which wouldn't last for long with the two felines going up to them and talking. Deciding that it wouldn't be all that bad if he made his way over as well, though he wouldn't have anything interesting to add to the conversation. Pebblekit was mostly there to listen anyways. ""

Probably - Waxface had gone through a deep emotional struggle (and just in time, thank StarClan), no wonder he was tired. "Need anything?" Thorntongue asked, wondering what herbs he could give to help the poor cat.
