— what's up , i'm wren , 23 , and i never fucking learned how to be civil .

— his family is a big reason why he never had any friends . he did have those who were only "nice" to him because his family was so rich , but a lot of peers , teachers , etc didn't like him and either strayed away from him , or bullied him ( because he never did anything about it ; he always stayed quiet and moved on ) .
— tw: assault / harassment , almost-manslaughter. there was a group of boys in particular , once he hit freshman year of high school , that would nonstop harass him , in school and out of school ( hence why he usually stayed home and never came out of his room ; he was safest there , even if he had to face his manipulative snake of a father ) . in his senior year , he thought he'd gotten rid of them because they'd already graduated the previous year , but they came back and found him when he was by himself , out and about , and dragged him into the trunk of their car , and took him to a lake that hardly anyone frequented . they beat him up pretty good , stripped him , and threw him into the freezing cold lake ( it was around autumn ?? not too cold to freeze over , but still cold , and definitely not swimming weather ) , not knowing he couldn't swim . he would have drowned if it weren't for the man who lived nearby , who jumped right in , gave him cpr , and took him to his home to wrap him up and get him some dry clothes . he's kept quiet about it , and not even his father knows , as he made the man who saved him swear to never tell anyone what had happened ( the man reluctantly agreed after smth , maybe wren threatened him ?? ) . his family just thinks he got into a fight .
— growing up , he basically never got to be a kid ?? his dad was always giving him harsh ( verbal ) lessons , and he always got biographies of people like alexander the great and napolean , or those like war & peace , or how-to books ( wren loved - loves - to read a whole lot , but he'd much rather read books on myths , and weird books like the book of lost things ) rather than , say , a bike or trip to an amusement park , or even just to get ice cream , for his birthdays . he hates celebrating his birthday , now , because he's always spent them alone , with a book on how to conquer an entire population or how to outsmart the smartest people .
— when he was twenty ( 20 ) , he quickly rose to the Top of his family's business , and he and his father have a rivalry going on that have a lot of people caught up in the middle of it , unfortunately .
— he's very vengeful and very angry , but he tries to suppress it as best as he can , because he really doesn't want to become his father . & he's very cold , and those who try to get through to him , which are a very few people , he either consciously pushes away , or accidentally does . he has one person he considers a friend , who he both kill and die for , and who he is always there for and has a HUGE soft spot for ( walker hammond ) .
— aside from reading , he absolutely loves to paint , and he has a large room in his mansion of a house that's dedicated to storing all of his paintings , and where he goes to relax , paint , read , etc . anyone but himself is forbidden to step foot in that room , and the door is closed and locked at all times . & he also a green room , dedicated to his flowers and plants that he loves dearly . only himself and the gardener are allowed in the room .
— ruthless , cynical , cold ; he's got -200 faith in humanity and in himself , and shows no mercy to those who have done him or his loved ones any wrong / harm .
