He blinked. "No, I haven't. Never had any farm experience.' He said. He then leaned back on the table, looking around. "Never really had a relaxed life growing up." He said. He sighed. "Grew up in a bad part of town. Always had gangs to worry about. My father died, my mom was sick and my siblings were too young to work or care for themselves so I had to become the man of the household and bring in the income. I've got them on a stable paycheck now. I can't see them often anymore, but the military programm is helping them get by, so...That's why I joined." He said

his eyebrows rose slightly and he blinked. “that’s terrible. i’m sorry you had to go through that.” he said.

He shrugged. "Wasn't just me." He said, looking over at him. "There were many others in my situation. It was just because of where we lived. If we had been some place else, things would have been different." He said.

he blinked and nodded,humming. “everyone that had farms in bloomington were.. poor but we had enough to get us by. since we had all of our food being raised and grown, it wasn’t ever really a problem, so a lot of money went to luxuries so.. i guess i can’t say i know how it feels.” he mumbled, looking down into his lap.

He blinked. "Don't worry. I'm not asking for pity." He murmured. He sighed, smiling. "It hasn't been all bad. I love the people I work with. They're a joy." He said.

he smiled slightly. “i have a feeling that last bit was sarcasm.”

He smirked. "Most of the time they're a joy to work with. Other times not so much." He said

he chuckled and nodded. “i tell you what, my sister was a damn pain to work with.” he laughed. “she’s about five years older than me. i had to see that rebellious teen stage, she refused to work around the animals.” he chuckled. “always going to the next town over with her boyfriend and shopping at the mall.” the word ‘boyfriend’ seemed to be growled, and it was obvious that he hadn’t liked the man.

He watched him, tilting his head. "Don't like her boyfriend I take it?" He ased

he shook his head. “used to. but then he got her pregnant and bounced with his ‘side chick’. he said- and i quote- ‘you’re on your own, slut’.. so i tracked him down and beat the shit out of him. really hurt his pride, getting beat up by a thirteen year old, i bet.” he stated.
