He blinked. “Oh.” He murmured. He then moved over to speak to Sombra since she was just straying in the corner of the room by herself. Jack glanced her over. “Hey...Olivia, was it-“

“Sombra.” She said quickly, glancing up at Jack. “...You don’t get that right to call me by my real name.” She whispered. She then glanced ahead. Jack blinked.

“Alright...Sombra.” He said. He sighed. “Sombra? Why did you join talon? For someone as skilled as you, there are many other options out there for a job.” He said. Sombra frowned.

“They cared about me and my family. Overwatch didn’t.” She hissed. She glared up at Jack. “I remember when my dad was away on a mission. I was with his family and they were caring for me. But then an attack happened on our home. You guys came to supposedly ‘help’ you guys did the complete opposite.” She hissed. “Our town was destroyed. Civilians needed Overwatch’s help. You were there that day, Morrison. You looked me straight in the eyes and said your group was leaving when someone from your team asked if they should stay and help. We had to evacuate. We had no help that day from your organization.” She hissed, slight tears forming in her eyes.

Sombra then looked away, frowning. “Of course I wouldn’t expect you to understand what that felt like. You’re just a selfish ass who doesn’t care about others. Just yourself. And it’s becuase of you my father almost died. Never forget that Morrison.” She hissed. She then moved away from Jack.

Jack had fallen silent as she spoke. He then watched her leave before sighing. She had every right to be angry. He knew that.

Gabe frowned. “jack, what was that all about?”

He sighed, looking down. “She’s just upset.” He murmured. “She’ll come around eventually.” He said.

“Will she though, Jack?” Ana asked, looking at him. “You abandoned her and her people. That was a few years ago now when she was still young. Children don’t forget things like that.” Ana said. “...Did Gabe even know about it? That it was your team that set out to destroy the omnics and then left afterwards? Because I didn’t know you abandoned them after until just now when Sombra spoke about it.” Ana said. She frowned. “That is nit what overwatch was about, Jack. We swore we would never turn a blind eye on those who needed help. So why did your order your men to leave?” Ana asked.

Jack looked her over before glancing down. “I was still new at being the strike commander back then, Ana. It was a tough choice to make but I couldn’t risk our men getting hurt.” He said.

“So you left the civilians alone who couldn’t defend themselves?” Ana asked, seeming shocked and slightly angry.

gäbe frowned. “i would have done it, even if my family was there or not. if there were enough soldiers hurts, it’s my men before the people.”

Ana frowned. “Gabriel that was not the intention of Overwatch when it was first created.” She said. Jack sighed.

“Yes, but it’s over with now, Ana. We can’t the change the past. I do regret that day. If I could go back and help those civilians, I would. But I can’t.” He murmjred. “There’s a lot of things I would change Ana.” He whispered. He sighed, glancing over at Sombra. “...She’s right though. I was a coward that day, and she has every right to hate me.” He said

he shook his head. “no. she doesn’t. not even the regular military would have stayed back, and she knows that.” he sighed.

He blinked. “It’s Fine Gabe. I don’t mind. It’s best if she just vents about it to me so she at least gets it out into the open. Hopefully, that little rant of hers will help her feel better later.” He said

He blinked, looking at Gabe. He gently set a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay Gabe.” Jack whispered. He rubbed his back slowly.

He then looked over, seeing Genji had moved over to Sombra. They were talking to each other. After a while, Genji pulled Sombra into a hug. Sombra slowly hugged Genji back after a minute
