Here's a few notes dealing with her history that I'll get to elaborating later .

❪ one ❫ So , I was thinking , her father , Aurelio Damiani , was apart of a gang / the mob back in Italy . He had a lot of connections / knew a lot people .
❪ two ❫ Married the local florist ; a woman named Valentina . They settled down despite the general chaos Aurelio's occupation brought , and eventually expected a child .
❪ three ❫ The day Valentina had been scheduled to give birth , their house was raided ; an inside job conducted by one of Aurelio's closest friends who worked alongside him . I'll go into detail on this a bit later .
❪ four ❫ As a result , shortly after giving birth , Valentina was killed , but , before she died , she urged Aurelio to go on without her in order to save the life of their newborn daughter .
❪ five ❫ Managing to escape with minor injuries , Aurelio went under the radar and moved to America . In tribute to a new life and remembrance for her mother , he decided to name her Amerigo Valentina Damiani .
❪ six ❫ Here , he taught her the essentials for survival in fear that his friend and his accomplices would begin to hunt her down . And so , once she hit a certain age , she underwent extensive training that lasted for several years ; learning hand-to-hand combat , how to use knives + guns , and so-on . It was pretty rough ; wore her down entirely , but she understood his methods were all for her sake , so she just kinda sucked it up and pulled through it .
❪ seven ❫ Concerning the blackout and years after , I'm just gonna say Aurelio went missing , and Amerigo's been traveling alone ever since then in search for him . Eventually she'll stumble across the BL , and end up joining .

Primarily speaks Italian and doesn't realize it because it's second nature , and so , she tends to forget not everyone can understand just what the hell she's saying when she does speak it ; also carries an accent that's pretty easy to detect when she speaks . It's quite light , easy on the ears , and all around pleasant to listen to .

Fluent in English , but it needs work . Often stumbles over big words or phrases when she's not sure what it means , or how to pronounce it , though , doesn't mind asking for assistance . Has a cute habit of whenever she does forget how to say a word / doesn't know how to get the translation across , she'll try to explain what it is while using load of hand gestures .

— 5'6" or 5'7" . She's not quite average , but not too tall . She's definitely got a little height on her , though .
— Tanned skin with a brownish tint ? Very warm and clear despite the constellations of dark freckles that paints her face . Most of them usually collect on the bridge of her nose and spread towards her cheeks , but paler ones dot her chin and forehead . I'm sure you can find more on her arms , back , and her shoulders . They definitely get darker when exposed to the sun .
— Hair is pretty dark ; like a rich chocolate color . Flows a good ways past her shoulders and probably stops at her midback . Extremely messy ; loose strands everywhere . She doesn't know how to tame them , and usually ends up trying to fix it every five seconds ; probably gets frustrated and ultimately leaves it alone .
— Light brown eyes with a slight goldish tint to them ; kinda honeyish ? They're like caramel . They're framed by dark eyebrows , trimmed kinda thin , but they have a bushiness to them ; very defined .
— Lashes are long and dark , too . Add to her feminine look .
— Lithe body ; slender and lacking in any extra fat . Doesn't really look like she'd be able to hold her own in a fight due to how small she looks ?
— Has fairly thin lips that are a light pink ; look as soft as they are . Her teeth are also pretty straight , and very white ; smiles are warm , generally teasing but kind , and could light up an entire room .

Using her tropes as an outline , this is going to be the set-up for a full personality description that'll I'll get to working on tomorrow .

❪ THE ACE ❫ Exceedingly intelligent and incredibly astute despite her given appearance as a girl who doesn't seem to be much at first glance , according to the ones that do know her , Amerigo can be described as a shrewd person ; not one to jump to immediate action without reason ; and is never without a backup plan in mind . She's calm , collected , and very perceptive , steadily assessing the people around her to build off of her prior knowledge accordingly for later use . She's not the type of person to allow herself to be provoked by petty arguments , lacking a short-fused temper that would allow her anger to spark with just minor action , and she's respectful of her peers and authority ; preferring to abide by the rules unless breaking them comes necessary .

She isn't the one to insert herself into the personal affairs of others , either , unless she feels it's imperative ; and she's not one to hold grudges , believing that many are capable of redemption if their efforts are genuine . And though , she's rather easy to get along with due to her generally pleasant personality that naturally draws in individuals of all types , don't let it take away from the fact that she , however , unbeknownst to most , excels in many fields of combat and definitely knows her way around a few weapons , becoming quite capable of subduing people twice her size when she needs to . Don't doubt her abilities , because a mistake like that , will surely prove fatal in her presence .

❪ BADASS BOOKWORM ❫

❪ BRUTAL HONESTY ❫ Towards her comrades and even herself , Amerigo is rather blunt when speaking and unafraid to deal out some harsh truths to which , at times , she doesn't seem to realize , making her appear , inadvertently , apathetic  . As a result of this , she can't foresee whether or not her words will deal some kind of damage with her inability to beat around the bush concerning delicate issues , but , due to her empathetic nature and her overall understanding of human condition and emotional construction , ultimately she tries to throw in some reassurance to soften the blow .

❪ GOOD IS NOT SOFT ❫ Cordial , compassionate , and fairly upbeat despite the unfortunate circumstances the world has laid upon her shoulders , Amerigo is easily one of the most laid-back and friendliest individuals one could come across . With a strong moral compass that compels her to help those weaker or incapable of fending for themselves , Amerigo won't stand to tolerate the taunting of her friends , vowing to protect the ones she cares for the most until the very last breath ; and even then , will she continue to fight for what she believes is right . However , dare to lay a hand on one of her comrades or even a stranger , and instantly , can she turn into a pragmatic , methodical , and unrelenting fighter that will push through hell and back in order to keep them safe .

❪ CHIVALROUS PERVERT + COVERT PERVERT ❫ Though , often depicted as a girl with a good head on her shoulders ; disregarding what would be considered crude or lewd behavior , or even completely missing any cues directed towards her due to her own cluelessness , little does one know , Amerigo isn't entirely as innocent as she writes herself off to be ; if even at all . She's teasing , incredibly playful with her suggestive comments that'll surely have one cleaning out their ears in order to catch what she just said , and slyer than a damned fox . If your mind's also in the gutter , then you should have no problem decoding her verbal riddles . Amerigo's , without a doubt , amazingly bold , though sometimes oblivious to her actions , saying whatever's off the top of her head , and so of course , her rather salacious humor tends to overstep personal boundaries , leading for offense to be taken depending on the person , but she's not an asshole about it if it does happen . If she catches on to the fact that one is growing uncomfortable , without argument , will she immediately back off and apologize .

Her first name , Amerigo , pronounced " a - me - RHEE - go " , is actually a masculine name of Medival Italian and Old German origin , derived from the name " Emmerich " , or " Amalric " , meaning " rule , power " .  Her middle name , Valentina , pronounced " va-len-TEE-na " , is the feminine form of the Roman cognomen " Valentinus " , which means " strong , vigourous , healthy " . As for her surname , Damiani , pronounced " da - MYA - ni " , it's derived from the given name " Damiano " , the Italian form of Damian .

Typically , she prefers to go by " Ameer " , or by " Damian " , all because its less feminine-sounding than Amerigo is , and because Americans are simple beings and don't get the pronunciation right .
