What should be Bearbones' main focus?

Recently, staff have been discussing the possibility for Bearbones’ focus to shift in terms of our two main games (WNR and TNW) It has been suggested that due to inactivity and a constant need to be revitalized, that Bearbones shifts our focus to solely TNW.

This is only an idea this far, so don’t worry if WNR is something you’d like to keep around. There is absolutely NO talk of completely removing WNR from the site. Shifting our focus to solely TNW would mean the following: staff involvement in WNR lessening, staff focusing on TNW improvements (creating more lore, more events, more activity, etc., not restrictions.), and WNR overall having less staff moderation, less advertising, and less assistance.

If the majority decides that they would like to shift our focus to TNW, WNR will NOT be deleted. As of now, we are not 100% certain as of what will happen to it, and we have agreed to have another poll about that if that is the path y’all choose. The possibilities include options along the lines of merging the WNR groups into one board, or simply moving them to become separate backboards. We are open to other ideas- if you have any ideas, don’t hesitate to let a staff member know!

okay so admin opinion here: i think for me at least that we could manage 2 main games, here’s where it gets tricky: we need to have member revitalization (not just staff) and some kind of balance. i think it’s feasable, maybe with a small amount of groups (3 seems to be a good number for a less active game) so there’s more activity in a few. we’d need active leaders, and people interested. advertising, world building and storytelling/more lore might need to be in the mix for both

i'd definitely prefer tnw to be the main focus of bearbones. i love both wnr and tnw but tnw is bearbones' hot spot and deserves a lot of focus from staff to make it grow and keep it alive. wnr isn't as alive as tnw and i wouldn't mind it sticking around but maybe as backboards (staying as frontboards is alright as well) with little staff interference.

this. tnw is the lifeline of the site, it's where most of the life is imo. wnr is borderline ded and always has been ever since I joined back in last year even after attempts to revive it. I think it would be better to pay more attention to tnw in general. Having more lore and stuff could be fun and add to the experience! I'm not saying neglect wnr, I just think it would be better to make tnw the main focus since that's where most of the memberbase is.

the way i see it is, there's a lot of other sites with games similar to wnr, and they're doing good but that style of game is their only focus. tnw is very unique among the sites that members circle around, and if we want to attract people, that's kind of our white whale ig.

if wnr did get moved into more of a backboard position, i also feel like it could open a lot of possibilities for tnw. obviously it's just ideas and up to staff, but a few of us were talking about more tnw frontboard groups? we have flintlock, where it's generally been expressed that they're more interested in general peace and not being raided; northstar, which is a neutral trading group and obviously not conflict oriented; and the badlands, kind of a lawful bad group. apart from the goc, which is a temporary plot, it could be fun to get more extremes? a very chaotic bad group to give an enemy to everyone, similar to goc; maybe a pro group that is willing to go to war and get raided and fight for what they think is right?

i dunno, obviously just spit-balling ideas here, but wnr is something you can find in a lot of places, and tnw is something very unique that bb has, it's seemingly the most successful, and i think it's our best option at the moment if we want to try going with more of a unique main game.
