I want to get the books outta the library. For once I'm a bit glad I watched the show first bc the show probably deviates from the books a lot, and that always irritates me when I start with the books. I think if I read the books second it won't bother me as much if that makes sense?

but so far i really love the story
i read the first series the infernal devices and i loved that so much

but it was historical and thats usually easier for me to get into than modern fantasy? so i was a bit reluctant with the mortal instrments

modern fantasy can b tough to get into esp because it can be confusing

its confusing as heck for me!! and then sometimes im also a bit worried about it going in the direction of most YA modern fantasy books tbh but shadowhunters seems pretty well written
