he hissed. "we lose people everyday. that is part of our job, and we knew that when we got together, that something like losing each other would happen. you need to let me do this."

He glanced him over, sighing. “...Please be careful.” He said, resting a hand on his shoulder. He then squeezed it before moving off

he sighed and looked down. he looked around the now empty room and ran a hand over his face. he moved to a drawer and got a paper and pen. he quickly began to write.

Back at the place where they were holding Jesse and Fareeha, Widowmaker was stuck watching the kids. She had untied them from the chairs. They were currently sitting next to each other in the corner of the room. Jesse’s arm was bent in an unusual position. It hurt like hell, but he was pushing through the pain. His main concern was keeping Fareeha safe. He had his good arm wrapped around her, hugging her. He was humming softly, trying to calm her.

he stood and took a deep breath, setting the note down and moving off. he didn't know if he was supposed to meet doo fish or not.

After a while, A smaller ship had landed outside the base. Jack was outside with Ana. Doonfist had gotten off the ship. Jack narrowed his eyes. “Where are the kids?” Jack asked.

“They’re here.” Doonfist said. Widowmaker got off the ship, holding them by the shoukder. She then shoved them forward. Fareeha instantly ran over to Ana, hugging her. Ana hugged Fareeha tightly, keeping her close. Jesse had stumbled, falling onto the ground. It was clear he was pretty beat up. He had some blood on his face as well. Jack moved over, helping Jesse to his feet.

“Now where’s Reyes?” Doomfist asked.

Gabe moved over after a bit, looking at jesse. eh knelt down and hugged him, hands shaking slightly. "i'll be back eventually. just make sure jack actually sleeps, he has a tendency to stay up all night and work." he said softly and stood, looking at doomfist. "yeah. i'm here."

Jesse instantly hugged him back, pressing close to him. His eyes were wide and filled with tears. “Gabe...Don’t do this. Please. We...We can take them down here.” He whispered.

he shook his head. "it's easier if i just go." he said softly and looked over jesse. "don't try anything or you're grounded."
