fam 1 [earth, metals/gems]  these are some hardy folk, honestly, but they're actually very concerned with looks.
fam 2 [fire, the sun is jesus]  desert friends, super energetic, and are usually the ones trying to heal or help. fire is associated with healing more than destruction here.
fam 3 [water, ice]  the scholars of the bunch, long history with the sky guys because of weather. there's a bigger reason for this.
fam 4 [nature, maybe life and death]  this family has produced its fair share of warlords; they're probably the snobbiest of the bunch because of their association with life.
fam 5 [air, the sky]  elusive as heck, hard to get a glimpse of them outside of meetings or events. what are they even doing up in the clouds?

big concept: a raven named sephora and tan is thrilled. he probably teaches her to say scary shit when there's company so he doesn't have to interact with them.. and then it's so funny he gets more ravens. they're like his foulmouthed children.
