☆ you open the fridge. there's only one more cream soda left. you take it. later, you open the fridge again. there's still one cream soda. you don't remembering finding it. you drink it. later, there's one another cream soda in the fridge. there's always just one more left.
☆ you talk to your dog about your day. he looks at you with big brown eyes. you aren't sure, but you think you almost see him nod in understanding.
☆ you go to a cafe you've never been to before. the waitress with unblinking eyes and an unnerving smile comes over and says, "the usual?" you mumble out a yes. she comes back with your coffee just how you like it, but this is the first time you've ever been here.
☆ you wake up. there's bruises of fingers wrapped around your wrist. they were not there before. you wash your hands. they do not come off. the next day, they moved to your other wrist. you do not remember anyone ever grabbing you there.
☆ your fingers are bleeding. you've picked at them till they were raw. later that day, they look fresh and new.
☆ you open up your music. there's an indie album you've never heard of before. you listen to it. it turns out to be your favorite song from a few months ago. next time you open your music up again, the album is gone.
☆ you look for an outfit on your floor. among the clothes, you find a stuffed animal you had thought you gave away. later, you see it on your bed. it follows you.
☆ you think you see movement from the corner of your eye. it's the clowns, you think. you turn around. they stare ahead at the wall with empty eyes, unmoving, unblinking. you turn back around. more movement. you turn fast enough to see one's head whip to face the wall again.
☆ you open up your drawing program. 'finish me,' one of your drawings whisper, watching you with pleading eyes. you close the piece, but the voice still rattles in your head.
☆ it’s 6 am and you haven’t slept yet. you hear birds chirp outside. you open the window. you see nothing.
