Weaponry: Scythes and other farm tools like pitchforks work well in his favor, along with spears and knives.
Lack of Training: Jonathan isn't well trained in any particular martial arts skill. While he's relatively good at mixed martial and combat arts, he's no master, and relies on his weaponry to get him through a fight.
Cowardice: If he can't see a way to get the upper hand, Jonathan will likely flee a battle that doesn't work in his favor.
In Detail: Jonathan is a master tactician and a genius in terms of intellect. He can outsmart most opponents and find mid-battle solutions in which to exploit an enemy's weaknesses mid battle. He will often taunt his opponents in an attempt to poke at their defenses, and is skilled enough with weaponry to make for a formidable opponent. However, his lack of combat training makes him average with hand to hand abilities, and his cowardice insures that he'll flee any battle not in his favor.

These include the dark yellow/orange vials that wrap his figure, as well as the additional rope, grey contacts, and the parts of a gas mask. Syringes are attatched to his right gauntlet and are used as a weapon.
Appearance.
Fear Toxin: Seeds from a rare, poisonous plant nicknamed the Scareplant by Jonathan, are highly poisonous and cause one to hallucinate their worst fears. The leaves are dark green, and the flowers is a pale white, trumpet shaped. Eating the flowers in a tea can also cause hallucinations, but is deadlier than the seeds and will almost always be lethal.

appearance
[b]Face Claim: Cillian Murphy
Hair: Brown.
Eyes: Blue. May wear grey contacts.
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 164 lbs
Figure: The man has a slender, athletic figure.
Scars: None that are notable.
Dusty brown hair that looks black in the dark and with eyes that are as glacial as fresh blue ice, Jonathan is a striking figure, well toned and muscular beneath a lanky appearance. Overall, he appears as hardly dangerous, given his slender form and lack of authoritative posture in general situations, however, beneath his clothing, Jonathan appears as quite athletic. A few old scars lace his figure, his arms and legs, but none that are notable. His skin is, for the most part, unblemished, lightly tanned and lacking any sort of tattoos. But that is only one side of Jonathan's appearance. He spawns with a costume too.
Costume: Jonathan occasionally wears a rather expensive scarecrow Halloween costume, however he's made some modifications to it. These include the dark yellow/orange vials that wrap his figure, as well as the additional rope, grey contacts, and the parts of a gas mask. Syringes are attatched to his right gauntlet and are used as a weapon.
Appearance.
Ghoulish and ghastly, the costume itself is a frightful thing. A torn mask reveals the chiseled jawline underneath, parts of a gas mask hanging from the maw. A hood covers the dark sight, old and tattered, dirtied with use and age. From armored gauntlets, syringes stretch like claws reaching away from flesh, dangerous weapons that glint in the light. A bullet proof vest hides beneath the leather of the chest piece, thick enough to stop any blade.

Jonathan is a cold-hearted killer, and one that enjoys human experimentation. He prides himself as a psychologist in a way, grasping an understanding of the mind that few possess. Highly intelligent, Jonathan spends most of his time studying fear and the effect it has on the mind. His overall goal is not just his pleasure, but a way to ultimately cope with his own terrors. By forcing fear onto others, he distracts himself from his own, such as bats, and fire.
Around friends: Jonathan doesn't keep many friends, but when he does, they're generally safe from his experiments, should they avoid angering him. Jonathan will, in fact, invite them to see his work, if he feels they are trustworthy enough.
Around enemies: Cruelty laces his mind when he faces his foes. His only intention is to force them to face their greatest fears, and he'll do whatever he can to bring it out of them.
Around strangers: Neither friend nor foe, Jonathan sees them as potential prey. He may inquire as to what they fear, and even go so far as to stalk them until they are capable of fitting into another category.
Around romantic partners or crushes: Jonathan will attempt to get them to understand him, to show them his life's work in the hopes of gaining their approval. Beware spurning the Scarecrow, he does not take kindly to it.

[b]history
Jonathan did not grow up in a bad environment, nor did he live with a bad family. But he himself had some rather nasty habits. In fact, if anyone in his household was being traumatized, it was the people that lived with him. At a young age, young Crow became obsessed with causing fear during one particularly exciting Halloween, in which he watched an older man suffer a heart attack after being badly frightened by a group of aggressive teenagers. Since that day, Jonathan became obsessed with replicating the act, out of sheer and cruel desire to see the fear in his victim's eyes. He started with animals, the family dog, but a yelp of sudden fright was not nearly as satisfying as the array of emotions from a human subject. And so he began experimenting, for pleasure and for his own twisted form of science.
How much fear could one feel before death? Before their mind breaks down? These were but a few of the inquiries that ran through his twisted mind. He jumped out at his family members, he hid dead animals in their pillows, and splattered the kitchen with their own dog's blood. And some nights, he would wake them as he stood over their beds, poised to strike. Perhaps out of terror, his family tossed him out the moment they were certain he could care for himself. In truth, he would not learn for awhile yet, but stealing food and clothing provided him with the perfect opportunity to continue his tests. Until one day, he did it. He found the perfect victim, and this one didn't survive her heart attack. But there were still questions and experiments and the pure desire to cause fear and suffering drove the man onward through life, and so he continued his work, chased out of town after town, and then, he found the Lodge.
Jonathan joined Flintlock Lodge, but didn't give up his studies. In fact, having a town full of people only encouraged him further. But he knew that as people started to disappear, people would grow more and more suspicious of someone in the group. Desiring to both target the group leader, Lupin, and hide his own involvement, Jonathan attacked Lupin as Scarecrow and locked him up in the town jail. After doing so, Jon took over Flintlock and promised to conduct an investigation into Lupin's disappearance. He, instead, used his opportunity to get out of town as an excuse to further his experiements, by seeking out more fear toxin from a rare plant in Northstar District, before moving on to threaten the members of the Badlands in an attempt to cause unrest between the two groups so that he could blame the disappearances on the Badlands.
