they do, but it moves so quickly that it's very easy to get over looked or get lost :^) just my opinion!

as one of the most active members within the discord, i have to agree with salem. the chat does move pretty fast and it’s easy to get swept away in the messages or get looked over, but we try to be as inclusive as we can whenever new members join the chat/enter the conversation, though it’s definitely a thing we could/need to work on imo!

as for if i use this thread more or the discord, i definitely use discord more since i feel more comfortable there, though that’s just me!

dittoing parks. i'm pretty active in the discord as well and we definitely talk a lot so it's easy for quiet members to get overlooked, but that's something we're working on. i definitely chat a lot more on discord than this thread since i feel it's easier / more efficient, i barely use the chat thread unless i'm looking for plots with my character.

I personally feel like it’s easier to chat on discord. You can also address multiple people at once, have more conversations, and even plot in a short amount of time?? I feel like what’s considered “spamming” on this chat thread isn’t the same as it is on discord. It’s easier to jump into conversations and even start conversations, and when people are talking, you can get actual screen notifications so you don’t miss anything. Not to mention there are bots, voice chats, and other fun features as well.

When the chat gets crazy, it can be easy to be overlooked, but nobody’s doing it on purpose. We do like to include and add new members to the chat, though!

[align=center][div style="background=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; font-size: 10pt; font-family:arial; text-align:justify; line-height: 130%; width: 50%"]as another person who dwells almost entirely on the discord, it definitely moves really quickly. i don't think people getting blatantly overlooked is much of an issue - but the majority of people run on one schedule and have super similar timezones, so i think that if you're in a separate timezone, it's easily to miss out on the big action and chats if you're just getting out of school/just waking up while everyone else is chatting before bed, in a different state of mind. but i feel like that's an issue in any sort of chat when the majority of members are within a few hours. overall though, i do think the group there is a pretty solid, welcoming bunch.
i personally prefer the discord chat, just because i can have the app on my cell phone and access that chat easier than i can the site on mobile. plus discord shows posts the second their up, instead of just when you reload the page, making it easier to stay updated on the conversation.

well, as someone who cant use discord anymore, it makes me feel excluded. I found that ppl who have almost never posted icly got included easier and I'm assuming it's because they were in the discord - Ive felt... Very excluded. if I'm honest? Only two people have really tried to make an effort to plot with me, and one of those people I consider a friend + had plots with prior to rejoining. I really disagree with the usage of a Discord, since not everyone can use it, and those things move way too fast and make it feel cliquey if not supervised well. I'm pretty much forcing people to plot with me at this point, I have to post in threads and even then my character gets overlooked, threads that others make get 2-5 posts within the same day while I at most get 3 in the same week. Its very unfair in my opinion.

I hope that doesn't sound rude, but it's been something I've been wanting to say, and now it's being brought up!

I'm in the Discord and I'm one of the "quieter" members since Im generally quieter and I live in a seperate timezone but every time I speak I feel included and usually don't get ignored. I never see anyone getting blantaly singled away (or whenever I'm online at least, I miss most of the active stuff since I'm sleeping). It's a nice way to get to know the rest of the group in my opinion : 0

Although before I joined the Discord I did notice that there was a decrease in OOC activity on the board which makes me?? Sad I guess, since like Jaxon said not everyone can use it.

sorry again if I sound rude - but I'd also like to make a point to say that almost every group I've been in, if it has a Skype or Discord, new members or ones without those options are 100% more likely to be ignored.
