— goes by jazz, and jazz only. he usually doesn't even like to address his surname. "jaziel?" "nah jazz." "shepphard" "i ain't got no surname. it's just jazz." unless it's very necessary but it mostly never is.
— about twenty-two years old, though his name and most of his identity is disclosed to even though who think they're closest to him. jazz isn't very open about his personal life.
— jazz likes to think of himself as a superhero: not an actual one who is going to always save someone's life, or the one that's always going to be kind since he's kind of an asshole, but in the sense that he keeps his life hidden and takes on this identity with what he imagines his life had been in his imagination as a child. imagination was a big thing that he had to put to use when he was a child, being a poor fatherless child from the bronx.
— his mother is a deadbeat that he barely knows and he's never known his father. a lot of his childhood was raising himself and finding a home in others, even the most considerably dangerous men. these men were often gangsters but he could be assured that they were loyal to him. as he grew up, he had no intentions of being tied down to just the bronx, but he didn't want to rely on those outside of his city to get him there. he wants to be a legend, and even thinks himself from being there, at least locally people pretty much knows who he is -- their local drug dealer for now.
— wants to dj extremely bad because he lives within the music. it touches him the way that people really can't. often times it seems as if he's detached. as said before, an asshole who holds himself to a much higher standard than anyone else. but music, it makes him feel things, and he likes the feel of being able to control the dance floor.
— half the time he doesn't give a fuck, and he doesn't like to let people become his weakness. toxic masculinity has basically enraged his entire life so if he does come to care for somebody, he's a bit hard on them but that's because he doesn't want to loose them, unaware that this could push them away.

— lainey opheila gardner, also known as laine close to her. these aren't the only aliases she goes under, however, as to some she's known as ginger and her prostitution name is honeybee.
— lainey is 23 y/o, however depending on the threads she's in she could be as low as twenty and as high as twenty-six years old.
— sexuality hasn't ever mattered for lainey in terms of prostitution. as long as the money comes in, she'll sleep with men and women however more men are likely to approach her than women. she's grayromantic, which means she most likely won't fall in love as easily and actually, tends to be cynical at the face of relationships, believing that most of them are doomed from the getgo.
— lainey was born from poverty in manhattan, new york. her mother often struggled to keep up with rent and due to misdemeanors, struggled to get a job. because laine's father was nowhere to be found, she mother finally relied on prostitution to get them by and not just on rent, but to get her drugs. laine was around the whole scenario of what a child should not be exposed to, but she didn't let it stop him from wanting to stray away from what she wanted to be, and there is a lot of things: singing, dancing, nursing, but most of all, as crazy as it was, she was always interesting in astrology. Unrealistically, or at least to her older-self's terms, she strived to go to the biggest and best schools out there, even when she was shot down by her mother and the men that she brought in the house.
— as she got older, she grew more desperate. those around her were making their come up in the easiest ways possible and eventually, she fell into the routine as well. at first, it was to make a bit of a cash to get her afloat, but she got addicted to the feeling of easy cash in her hand and eventually she dropped her plans for this. she still wants to go to school, but at this point felt like she didn't have a chance. and unless she believes it, it's not easy to convince her otherwise. she's convinced herself that she's not the happiest with her life, but at least it's getting her somewhere. she also considers this is something that her mother probably thought as well.

• goes by remi for short but his parents mostly addressed him by his full name and geez, he hates it
• grew up in alabama in a huge mansion of a gated community. life seemed nice, and it was. his parents were never very strict and in fact, never home except for on fridays and the weekends by the time he was 16, giving him the opportunity to go to parties and stay out late, and sniff cocaine in the house. he was the ultimate high status millionaire, unaware on just how important it was until it was gone.
• came out as bisexual, with the preference of men, to his family just two months ago during vacation in Florida his parents left him there leaving him without a trace  on how to properly fend for himself and with next to no money except the $30 he’d left in his piggy bank when he was about ten years old
• he’d known for a long time about his sexuality when he fell in love with his best friend. He’d realized that during a game of spin the bottle where his best friend spun the bottle and it landed on him. The two kissed and sparks flew but there was always a bit of hint that the two had a thing for each other. He even thought that this might be someone he’d wanted to pursue a serious relationship with.
• swears he’s a libertarian however his political beliefs draw more near the republican side of things. He’s never cared too much about how important politics were though, and how much privilege he has because it’s something that he’s never HAD to worry about. He’s never been able to shape an opinion for himself and most of his beliefs are built from his friends and his family.
• he in fact shitposted on twitter, complaining about the BLM and how white privilege wasn’t real but then someone shut up down and he immediately closed his account because he hates to even discuss race because the poc always claims he “whitesplains”
• he hates to admit that he has fallen to the bottom and still introduces himself as a millionaire despite having to wear the same clothes that are gonna eventually become worn and sometimes not even having a place to sleep at night. Sometimes he goes to gay bars, however, in attempts to charm sugar daddies or something but they’re always pissed off by his self entitled attitude and his refusal to really touch them or let him touch him. It’s a much more easier process in the movies
• still has his iPhone so he steals internet from mcDonalds to check his social media. All of his family has blocked him on their phone and through fb so he’s not able to get in contact with him, not even with all the fake profiles he makes
• still has his playboy magazines and on lonely nights honestly, that’s all that matters.
• this forces him to discover the world around him and eventually make a claim and life for himself. It’s hard to even discover what kind of food you like when all of that has been spoon fed to you. becoming sensiable is something that’s unruly and frowned upon and being “weak”. As time goes on, he becomes slightly more open minded to the world around him and discovers just how bad things are
• believes that black people and people of color in general get their college paid for, therefore heightening the illusion that he’s worked harder to get where he is when he’s only had everything handed to him
• but right now he’s kind of a dick

— seventeen years old, however depending on the threads in which he's in, he can be as low as sixteen and up to nineteen years old. he was born on december thirteenth, making him a sagittarius
—  to plenty, he goes by jerry and strictly jerry. he was named after his grandfather as an honorary to the veteran but seeing as jerry isn't anything like him, or he doesn't feel like he's anything like him, jerald refuses to go by it or by it, especially in public, however when he goes and visits his grandfather at family events, he has to deal with being called being baby gerald and that 100x worse than just being called gerald within itself like bitch, he hates it.

— jerry was born to iesha and lamar schlender. at the time, these two were separated due some "minor inconveniences", one in which was never explained to jerry even today, and for ten years of his life he was posted in hanau, germany where his grandfather happened to be stationed at the time. gerald "the first" tried to serve as an influential person in jerry's life but he never paid much attention more often than not, with preference to involve himself with technology than being the man that jerald wanted him to be.  the pressure only built as he got older and jerald retired. once they moved back to chicago, it was a whole new world for jerry, who'd never been to america in his life. as he reunited with his father who he only communicated through post cards and visits, and they managed to get a townhouse apartment, he went back to school where it seems that jerry got a real taste of what reality really was like. jerry became an easy target to bullying and as he'd never taken critique as great from his grandfather, it'd become even harder to face it to kids his age when all he wanted to be was liked. jerry tried to avoid tough crowds and by high school, began skipping out in classes. his mom, too busy working as a nurse with late night shift, and his father coming home exhausted from days as a cvs manager was too exhausted to notice the signs, and jerry knew little about his deteriorating mental health. he resumed to cutting for half his year and when his mother flipped out, the siutation didn't make things any worth as she flipped her shit and made him feel like it was him to blame. luckily, she did put him in psa counseling where he was finally able to get someone to listen. he escaped the toxic cutting behavior but instead resumes to popping his rubber bands on his wrist when he begins to feel upset or anxious. as jerry continues, he begins to slowly get better and turn back into the sunshine child he once was and continues to be but still suffers internally with himself and his confidence.

— suffers from dyslexia and adhd so sometimes he struggles with deciphering and reading words and you can only keep his attention for only a half a second before you lose it right away. many teachers complain over this and many even think that he's a lost cause because of the things he says out loud in spite of embarrassment when he's called out about not paying attention to them.
— my boy still trends out the silly bands and also collected bracelets that he's gotten from traveling or from everywhere. if anyone knows him for anything other than embarrassing himself, it's definitely for having plenty of cool bracelets. sometimes people even buy them
— he's addicted to technology. this means that it's also an issue in school and his main reasoning for having after school detentions. youtube is his favorite site as it resonates to plenty of dangerous stunts and tutorials in which he's watched and resulted to him making rockets out of pop bottles and setting them off during school as well as infamously making the whole school high by melting a whole bunch of permanent markers in the air conditioner resulting in a day off. literally, it was a high school.
— absolutely fucking terrified of heights. like, to get him to fly, his mother has to give him cough syrup so he passes out and he is way too scared to get on a roller coaster so he's never been on one.
— absolutely refuses to curse. if he says it by accident he will swear and make sure you know that is an accident. it doesn't feel right coming from his mouth he's such a goodie two shows as they say.
— who's easily manipulated by dogs? he is!
— though he hates cats. but that's not just because they're disgusting and uptight creatures according to him, but because he's allergic to them. once his grandfather's cat rubbed up against him and his whole leg swelled up causing him to have to go to the ER
— he knows how to do anything by a simple and basic tutorial. this also means he knows hot hack into even the school's system and change grades, change the website, etc. which he'd done before btw using the public library's system on someone else's account.
— when someone cool talks to him, he tries to remain casual but really he's super mega and extra excited.

• people would describe her a smile having an rbf but she doesn’t feel the need to smile all of the time. It makes people slightly intimidated by her. when people tell her that she should smile more, her rbf only intensifies
• tends to shut those closest to her out without really realizing it, this includes her mom. the two of them have this relationship to where they’re not talking or they’re looking out for each other and it’s all not accord to her

• rocks energy light sketchers that aren’t the brand named vans or Jordans so a lot of people tease her for it and when they do, she reaches down and turns on the lights if they aren’t on already, and lifts her head, flicking off said person
• doesn’t know how to exactly control her powers. Her powers, which happen to do with weather manipulation, has to do with her feelings weather it’d be she’s happy or sad or upset. A lot of the time, she said neutral, so is the sky. She hasn’t any intention of learning anything about her powers so she tries to keep her emotions subtle and act like they don’t even exist though there’s always that part of her that rumbles, that’s inside of her no matter how hard she tries
• Her and her father's relationship. Well, it's complicated. He hates her, she hates him, but they're there for each other when they need it most. They're more so friends with complications than they are father and daughter. He's never attended one of her soccer games, barely made it to any of her birthday parties. She's grown accustomed to the way that life is for her, however apart of her does look at those with happy families with envy and wish she were normal
• she's obsessed with charley's chicken sub sandwiches and could eat it 24/7 if that were her only option. and no lie when it comes to spending money, she hates it so she has a pretty solid way of convincing people around her to pay for her.
• "you're selfish" angel has heard it plenty of times before. in fact, the words reflect within her father, something that her mother uses to describe him so she assumes it's where she gets it from. she tries to steer away from selfish behaviors but can't help but take interest in anything unless it has to do with her.
• lowkey needs love and affection on the internet to get her by. if she doesn't have it, she begins to feel very insecure about herself 
• when she wants to do something that makes her a nervous mess, she just counts to three slowly and if she doesn't do it, then she knows it's not meant to be but most of them time, she does end up doing it and most of the things she does is semi... self-destructive to say at the least.

— tau daktari magoro. all of these have meanings that are resentful to what he is supposed to be: "tau", meaning lion. "daktari", meaning doctor. this wasn't any mistake, as in the deep parts of africa, his grandmother almost prophesized his gift, one that ran throughout a child throughout every other generation. surely enough, he did end up with this gift, and it became clear as even as a baby, his emotions tended to be influenced through those of his mother's.
— tau came from a middle classed family. his father worked in a factory to make ends meet, and tau was the middle child of three. he was the only boy, however, therefore how you'd imagine, him and his father found themselves sharing a secret bond that could only be shared between a father and his son. tau knew that his father tried his best, that's what made him want to try. even between the struggle, the family tried to make best out of every situation and they were pretty good at doing so, the three children finding innovative ways to make money if they felt as if the others needed help.
— tau, it always seems as if he was constantly running from what he was. his grandmother let him know from the getgo, the way he's able to be a calming influence to those around him, but he didn't want to be that. he never really got to have a childhood, because he was constantly effected by those around him, the emotions tending to be stronger as he reached his preteen years. this caused irritability, depression, and a distance between his family that he didn't really want. he tended to spend a lot of his time alone and began to rebel and get into trouble his family didn't want. his mother tried to get through to him, but he didn't want it. the less he interacted with others, the less pain he felt. his grandmother wasn't too happy about him running from his truth, but he felt as if it'd been his only option, especially since those who emphasized too much ended up committing suicide. apparently, it'd be his only source to a true happiness, but he wasn't exactly sure how that was so.
— the only time he's able to realize his true potential is after his father got cancer, forcing him to be there for him. on his father's deathbed, he was able to take away his pain by taking it. it was excruciating for him, but he was able to put his father truly at peace. even though he didn't want to, that was enough of a realization of what he was capable of, causing him to fly overseas and study in psychology. a lot of his college years wasn't any fun. anyone who got close to him only ended up distancing themselves due to his lack of wanting to do anything. when he graduated, he started his own practice where he became pretty well-known.

— tau is around thirty-five years old, yet has barely lived. the most he's lived, it was a little during his teenage years of spray painting his pain away but most of his time is belied in a deep dark pit of miserablness. so he battles this with pills and alcohol, which isn't at all a healthy habit, but he's not really sure what else to do? he's so caught in the emotion of others that he barely takes joy in anything, not even the normal things people would get amused by.
— barely, he leaves his house and so beyond his office, he spends most of his time in his house. it's huge, as well as empty. most of his clothing that's not suit and tie consists of dark jackets and dark clothing in general because he can't find any happiness within his life, even as he gets older it's pretty sad.
— some of his practices or whatever he has his patients go through is kind of illegal, but he likes to do things his way and hey, they work so he's able to get through to it. and he's a bit of an sarcastic asshole, but that's because he's battling his "pain" so it's okay.
— and he's pretty open about his "gift" and it's okay, because some people kind of thing it's a load of bullshit anyway despite the multiple people he made feel better. but for some people, his gift is almost like a dose of drug. once he takes away your pain, you're going to keep wanting it again and again to where once, he had to legit file a suit against someone who was stalking him because they wanted him to "cure" them again and again.
— there's someone out there who could calm his storm, but he's honestly not sure if they even exist. he's almost been waiting here and there but has yet come across someone who could just make him happy for more than a minute.
— his mother feels as if his psychology is almost toxic for him and that he'll one day hit his breaking point but now it's almost become addicting to him to where he can't stop so he is blunt and honest about it like, "ok well if i die, i die." which makes his mother extremely upset so he barely hears from her at all.

— Adressed by family and friends as Ellie, introduces herself as Ellie’s only. She feels like the name Eleanor to be kind of lame and on more serious note, personal so she’s just Ellie and Ellie only
— Ellie is fifteen years old, born on November 13th
— Grew  up in a cult that was heteronormative and those who were anything but we’re exiled if lucky, or disappeared mysteriously. Ellie, still being young, never worried about her sexuality, however as she is able to discover herself, she comes to find her bisexuality without really giving a proper label? Like it’s never mattered to her, especially since her best friend was openly bisexual himself
— Ellie's mother, Caroline, had been of original following to The Last Retreat, finding comfort within in it due to endless years of abuse. She'd met Ellie's father, Morgan, who'd had been facing some demons of his own. He didn't exactly believe in the last retreat, but due to his liking Caroline, decided to join. The biggest mistake of his life. The Last Retreat tried to equate itself to the future, a utopia, that connected itself with god by ignoring everything that was created by Satan: this even included technology. Ellie was in fact homeschooled most of her life when they had her, most of the kids being taught together by one teacher within the cult. She'd never met her mother, as she lost her before she was two years old.
— Soon met Adam, a boy who was a bit odd like Ellie, who'd never been interested in the bible as well. The two almost instantaneously became best friends and whenever her father snuck her some comic books from the store, she'd share it with him. Unlike her father, who at this point wanted nothing to do with the cult but didn't think it came as easily as packing up your bags, Adam's parents fell into the practice of the extremist group. Unlike overemotional Ellie, however, he was able to fit in with the other kids in which Ellie envied. When she wasn't hanging with him, she was hanging alone which was one helluva drug, as she suffers from monophobia
— When Ellie was eleven, out of all the times they had, the two dreamed of running away, maybe busting the cult for the hell it really was. But all of this failed when Adam died to mysterious causes. Ellie believes that it was due the cult finding about him.
— Only recently, Ellie and her father plan to leave when they find out that everyone is planning on committing a mass suicide to meet God by consumption of poison wine. Before they're able to leave, they're caught and taken out where Ellie is forced to watch her father die before the priest attempted to bewed her, trapping her in his basement for over a week. She's able to escape this by outsmarting him, or so she thinks, by escaping the basement and finding authorities. It'd been the first time she's ever had any human contact outside of the cult so it's honestly quite odd to her.
— Ellie had become a sensation, one of the other living survivors of the cult as, when she tells the authorities and the priest finds out, he commits suicide. A lot of talk show hosts and interviewers want to get a hold of her. She agrees, because she wants to get her story out there, and also she likes the pampering as it's so unlike her although she's nervous. She's not knowing how society sees her, though she's kind of foul-mouthed so curses carelessly on screen.
— Though she's haunted by her past, she attempts her best to grow from it. This includes staying out past dark to her foster home's dismay to play at the arcade, and let's just say she's known there
— she's back to being the awkward girl she is and unlike being an inspiration on tv, she's not very noticed within her foster home. she relies on the company of a stuff dog, some comic books, and a pun book but that's it and the loneliness almost pangs her.
— actually loves upbeat poppy music, which isn't something many people would expect her to like, but she does. when she's alone in her room, she dances around to it, is slightly embarrassed if she's caught.
— she's actually very strong. she doesn't let what she's been through weigh her down at the slightest, even if she happens to be emotional, she still tries to find love within someone. and honestly? badass.
— there are times where she blows up, and gets easily annoyed. that's to assholes who happen to take her for granted at times, sometimes her mouth can happen to get her in trouble. and she's not the type to easily get up. she won't stop until it kills her.

maddox hamilton

• seventeen years of age and born on feb. 08th.
• his mother, and mother only calls him maddie. he literally is embarrassed by the nickname in his teenage years, however she's grown so accustomed to calling him it, that it's become almost second nature to her. as long as she doesn't call him maddie in front of his friends, or at least the little that he manages, then they good.
• before maddie was even six years old, his father died due to a car crash in which he'd been present for. he'd been in the back seat, a drunk driver ramming into the front and killing his father instantaneously. he barely remembers the event, though it'd started the beginning of a very special ability. out and in the hospital and with the worry from his mother, he figured that the sighting of a man that looked like his father was just apart of his imagination or a dream rather than something that was real. even then, it's something that he has almost forgotten until later on in life
• he'd had an overall pretty normal childhood until he was ten, when his mother seemingly found "the one" except it wasn't the one. instead, he turned out to be an asshole and psychopath, abusive to not only his mother, but maddox as well. his mother tried to keep him out of the situation, but as maddox became more older he began to place himself in the situation. eventually when he's fourteen, the two gather up and pack up and go off, running from him for another three years months at a time. his last situation dealt with his eyes getting burned by chemical in sacrifice to his mother. now he's legally blind.
• "i'm not mad at you" he swears it to his mother about a 100 times a day, as she apologizes daily and has softened towards him, treats him in an almost childish manner to make up for the asshole she's ended up with, but maddox has become obliviously distant, maybe holding in some deep emotion. anger?
• his mother, wanting to keep under the radar, has turned to being full time psychic in the small town, to help people find closure to those who lost and she's pretty good at it. most of the time she wants maddox out of the house because he tends to be a bit facetious, finding it all bullshit. of course it is, both of them know it, but those who are handing their money to his mother don't. she insists that she's doing good but maddox knows that that's bullshit, too.
• he's a jokester, too, at least that's what he's known as around school. he uses it as a coping mechanism, a combat for the loneliness and anger he has inside.
• either likes to spend all his time alone, or goes to a party and get shitfaced and does something spontaneous like jumps off a high cliff into the water naked, or gets a septum piercing no in between.
• eventually learns that his disaster has sprouted something much bigger than himself that isn't bullshit. before then, he was a skeptic of ghosts, although drawn to empty warehouses and mansions in hopes to maybe prove himself wrong but after the accident, it'd developed something much more bigger than he can handle. when he touches certain things, he can see the history, specifically if they're vessels of a ghosts and now, he can see ghosts who happen to be attached to him. at first, he tries to play it as a joke but he increasingly grows more scared as time goes on
• tries to ignore it, but it becomes his dreams and they appear in even public places. this is the only true time that he can see clearly and it almost becomes bittersickeningly addicted as he does miss his full sight and not having to wear "dork glasses", as he calls them. sometimes it's like he's seeing through the dead's eyes.
• now the accident didn't cause his sixth sense, but it pushed it.
• dresses very aesthetic. his clothes are simple, and consists a lot of hoodies and vans and oh, black. of course black.
