[div style="background-color:transparent; border: none; width: 400px; height: auto; margin-top: -10px;"] [align=left][justify][size=13pt]NARA MAI LOCKLEAR  my girl (my girl, my girl) talkin bout my girl (my girl)  nara and only nara, nicknames don't really work with her name, and she just prefers her full name anyway.  born on november 21st, scorpio, but like,,, chill scorpio  she spent the first couple years of her life in an old and rather shanty orphanage in vietnam before being adopted by two newly weds. they weren't having luck in the whole pregnancy thing and yet they both still wanted a kid and then they found nara. she was brought home with her new mother when she was three in august and began her new life in the states.  her parents were only three years into the marriage and obviously, having nara around ruined their honeymoon period. they ended up fighting often once she began preschool, mainly about her, but their fights also ranged from the expenses to sexual issues to insurance problems but it was mainly because of nara.  trigger warning for abuse; her mother walked out of her life when nara turned seven, and, it was awful, but it was after celebrating her seventh birthday that another fight occurred. her father threw a fist and that was that. her mother gathered her stuff and left with a dark bruise beginning to form on her face and a promise to nara that she was coming back. her father had been begging for her mother to stay and that he was sorry but she took the car and ran.  growing up was rough for nara afterwards, her father fell to shambles and she was entrusted with the job of taking care of him, hence her rather motherly tendencies. she ended up being the one to cook and clean and remind her dad about basic necessities, such as eating or going to work. it was difficult, what with her being so young and already worrying about things she shouldn't have to for another couple years.  trigger warning for abuse; it wasn't enough for her father to be the only one suffering, though. he had trouble grasping the fact that he was deteriorating and nara was the one keeping him from doing so. he felt as if she were nagging at him, much like his wife was and that was too much for him. he went from telling her to stop to verbally abusing her to physically abusing her. he was angry, vengeful, he felt as if it was nara's fault that his wife walked away and nara did too. she allowed him to hurt her because he was family and he was upset and he needed to release aggression. so she enabled it.  she continued juggling school, her social life, and her home life until she turned fifteen, in which her mother abruptly showed up one night and claimed that she was back for nara, to pick her up and get her out of there. and nara had considered it but who would take care of her father while she was gone? not to mention, her mother didn't seem to be in the best of shapes either. so nara declined and her mother got angry. violent. it was obvious that her mother had been on something that night.  trigger warning for abuse; her father woke up due to the noise and an all out screaming match broke out between her parents. the fight went on until the wee hours of dawn when her mother chucked a vase at her father, which shattered on impact and her father fell to the floor with a groan. her mother ended up freaking out, nara flicked on the lights, flashing lights could be seen through the curtain and rough knocks against the door kicked nara into action.  nara got her mother out the back door and from there, nara hadn't seen her mother since. she explained the situation to the cops, told them that they didn't want to press charges and rode in the back of the ambulance with her father.  they stitched him up and upon nara finding out that he was fine, she left the hospital. alone. she hasn't returned home since.  nara seems pretty cold when you first meet her. but she isn't callous, she's just apathetic about everything. it's not in her nature to show a lot of emotion, or be the one that panics during tough times. she has always been calm, cool, and collected. someone could burn her house down and she would still be solemn and take it in stride.  she is literally the best mom friend you could ask for. she always has everything on hand: band-aids? check. ear buds? check. fake id and a passport? check. she's also always there to listen if you need a shoulder to cry on (she's not much of a talker, really), and she's pretty good at the comforting thing if she likes you enough. she also remembers everything: needed to pick up a prescription at nine? she's left you a text message. suck at getting to dinner on time? she's already bought you food. can't remember the passcode of the safe that you're trying to rob? ask nara.  despite that though, it's not as if she likes taking care of people, it's more like she feels obligated to do it, like it's her duty or something. she doesn't like seeing people in distress or harming themselves or anything.  she doesn't like relying on other people, and she will go to the ends of the earth to try and do everything herself. she's extremely independent, and furthermore, extremely stubborn. due to this, she also just doesn't really know how to ask for help, she'd rather just aimlessly try to figure things out on her own than bother someone else with her issues. this is also partially out of embarrassment, she'd rather not deal with that either.  she doesn't speak unless spoken to, or when she finds necessary. and she's always curt during conversations, she says what she needs to say, and that's that. she doesn't like loud people, or exchanging pleasantries. if there's nothing important to say, don't say it. she tries to be as quiet and discreet as possible, she just doesn't like unnecessary attention on her either.  she's like,, really responsible. she won't stop people from doing their thing, but it's not like she won't judge them for it either. she takes her own actions into account, and won't sway away from punishment if she does something wrong, and she is quick to scold people if they interfere with her work. overall, she's a reliable person, you can expect her to show up at the exact time that is specified, as well as meet deadlines accordingly.  she's known for not being the most,, forgiving person out there. she has no time for people who mess with her time, or screw her over. in her book, there's no second chances. she's unmerciful when it comes to cutting people off, and she's brutal about it. of course, she has her patience, she has all the patience in the world, but once that runs out, it runs out.  that said though, she's not one to bear grudges. she will forget about it, but she won't forgive, especially not if you have wronged her in some way. she's learnt her lessons in forgiveness and she knows better than to give it to people who don't deserve it.  nara has never had any time for dating. or, well, she's never made time for it, she's never been the best partner and all of her relationships were more of her being someone that cared for them. but really, that's how she showed affection, even if her past relationships didn't feel that way.  she's a hitman, a coldhearted one at that. she doesn't show mercy, but she tends to only take clients that want bad people killed. as in, rapists, murderers (that kill innocent people), corrupt people in power, that sort of thing. she doesn't have time to deal with an asshole that cheated, or something along those lines.  on the job, she's scary ruthless. it's really just a chance for her to release pent up aggression, so mercy and forgiveness are the first things to go straight out the window. this is probably why she seems so dead calm all the time.  the only thing to get her riled up outside of her job would be dumb idiots who treat her like a child because she's feminine. she's a firm believer that women (and feminine-presenting people) can do whatever the hell they want. oh, and traffic. she's terribly impatient and traffic destroys her very existence.  she has narcolepsy, and let me tell you, it sucks balls. she falls asleep randomly, doing random things, and she can't help it. she could be be eating lunch and she'd fall asleep, in the middle of traffic and fall asleep, and just, yeah. it's not a good thing. she doesn't drive due to this (and traffic, i'm telling you she hates traffic).
