[align=center] sacrondelle académie de magie: introduction
bricolage of words sacre and hirondelle, meaning holy/sacred/mighty/solemn, and swallow (bird) respectively.
sacr- = latin form of sacr meaning "holy/sacred"; from french "sacré" meaning "holy, sacred, mighty, solemn"
hirondelle = french meaning "swallow (bird); martin"
sacr + hirondelle = sacrondelle
in order to gain favor of the vastly powerful school, other schools would introduce the students as "savants" or as the french "les élèves"

territory
situated in the french alps, the prodigious vast castle is set in stone, perched high, atop one of the largest and steepest cliffs in the mountains. ref, ref.
school crest is similar to the beauxbattons, yet the "B" is replaced with a "S".
basically, sacrondelle is replacing beauxbattons in history, so they will have an exact replica, to some extent of the history of the beauxbattons. yet, there used to be a house called "vuixen" , yet it was soon destroyed by the wizarding war and forgotten, then serpentin replaced the house. the coa now has a serpent at the feet of the foxes, creeping up the foxes' bodies.
every bit of elegant as once can imagine, but even more so, evoking fantastical fairy-tale fantasies; ornate vast rooms, chandeliers, extravagant ballrooms, marble everywhere, opulent furnishings right down to the doorknobs; grandeur, beauty, sophistication, refinement radiate from sacrondelle. although affluent and rococo/baroque-inspired, they have a nice simplicity and neatness to the castle as well: the details and furnishings weren't so elaborate that it would overshadow the room, instead those gildings and details would just add to the charm; there weren't many gildings on the walls. considered more of un palais than a castle, due to vast rich opulence and affluence, a simply spectacular sight to behold, with seemingly countless rooms and spectacles and wonders to observe. The stunning neo-gothic baroque exterior is characterized by its perfect symmetry, beautiful interiors, rococo rooms, and elaborately planned gardens.
Multiple different architects created the different houses' living areas, each with their own design and elaborate ideas pertaining to the houses' different influence (e.g. the chivalric members of andoulor get rooms styled after Louis XVI, members of the tender liavrene receive rooms inspired by a soft countryside france, the graceful members of trompeyne gain rooms modeled after the romantic ballet era, and rooms inspired by grecian and classical period ideals are home to serpentin); although all houses have a little of the others' influence in them, the main idea is centered around those just mentioned.
A six-year-old Mozart performed for Maria Theresa and Marie Antoinette in the Hall of Mirrors, and the Congress of Vienna danced at a ball held in the Great Gallery after parceling out Napoleon’s defeated empire in 1815. The palace is characterized by its gothic style; it drew upon the principles of French neoclassicism, but also incorporated Gothic, and Renaissance elements, and the Second Empire style evolving from its 17th-century Renaissance foundations, it was a mix of earlier European styles, most notably the Baroque.
the bedrooms/dorms had lovely french beds, either four-poster or simply an ornate headboard it was up to the designer.
