I mean? We can't really judge the age range because that was normal in that era so it's weird to us but not a proper way to discard the play. The best way is to simply say that everyone was literally fucking stupid (except Benvolio) and made poor decisions in the heat of the moment and the entire time you're just face palming and questioning how so many people could be so goddamn stupid.
