It had been a month now ever since Dean had died. The first week, Sam was upset. But he had faith. Faith that Dean was going to be brought back like he had so many times before. However, Sam felt different about this time. Something felt off. Within a month and not getting any word about Dean returning, he had fallen into a deep depression. He had come to terms that his brother wasn't coming back this time. He lived alone in the bunker. He hadn't even heard anything from Cas for the past month so he wasn't sure if he was alright or not.

Sam was currently sitting on his bed in the bunker. Needless to say, he had taken up to drinking as a way to pass the time. And he looked like shit.

cas hard been trying to get dean back for the past month. he hadn't gotten any rest, no sleep, but the angel was.. ok. he would be ok, at least, but he knew sam was far from that. appearing in the bunker, he would move to sams room and walk inside, seeing him sat on the bed, drunk and sad. he felt his heart rise in his throats and his shoulders droop along with the tattered and burnt wings only he could see. he slowly moved over and sat next to him, gently setting a hand on sam's hand.

Sam had t even heard Cas walk in. He flinched a bit at the sudden touch, looking over at him. He looked Cas over. "Jesus man. I thought something bad happened to you too." He whispered

he shook his head. "i've been trying to bring dean back.."

He sighed shakily, looking Cas over. He didn't look any better then Sam. Sam set a hand on his back. "You look exhausted." He said

he blinked. "i will be fine. angels don't need sleep.. it's you i'm worried about.."

Sam sighed, watching him. He looked away after a moment. "I'll be okay Cas." He whispered. Truthfully he wasn't sure about that. But he had to try.

he shook his head. "i know when you're lying, sam. don't even try." he took the beer from him, setting it aside and moving to help him lay down.

He sighed, not even fighting Cas. He didn't have the strength to fight him off, so he wasn't going to waste his breath arguing. He looked away. "...Thank you, Castiel. Fro...At least trying to bring Dean back." He whispered

he nodded. "there's still hope. he wasn't in heaven or hell.. he could be in purgatory.."
