eddie gave a weak noise and closed his eyes. jacob nodded to scott and kissed his cheek. "i'll call you before we head home.."

[peridot.]

Richie still seemed to be shifting anxiously, but Scott gently squeezed the small boy's shoulder, nodding a little bit, "Alright, drive safe." He then took Richie's hand, guiding the other slowly - and somewhat reluctantly - to the kitchen.

jacob moved out to the van and gently lay eddie in the back seat, having grabbed a trash bag on the way out and handed it to the young and sick teenager. soon enough, they were on the road.

Richie didn't feel very hungry after all of that, so he just sat at the table silently, picking at his pancakes and trembling a bit as tears stung his eyes and he felt worry clutching his chest like a vice.

it was an hour and a half later when jacob called scott, sighing as he looked at eddie who was half asleep in the hospital waiting room.

Scott had been busily and worriedly taking care of his new adoptive son when his phone had rung, and he sighed before picking it up, sounding stressed as he said softly, "Hello? What's going on?"

[dannychan]

jacob sighed. "the doctor said it's just he flu and that some medicine every few hours should get him back to normal. they're letting him go home but said that if he starts throwing up more than you normally would and not eating or drinking to bring him back so they can get him hooked to some IVs and stuff.."

[peridot.]

Scott blinked and nodded a bit, saying softly, "Alright, that's good. I'm glad he's gonna be alright... Plus Richie will be glad to hear that."

[dannychan]

he nodded. "yeah. well be back home in a bit." he said. "love you."

Richie was very quiet, but he gave his boyfriend a little wave and mumbled softly, "Love you, Eds..." Scott glanced at him before giving Jacob a soft kiss on the cheek and nodding, "Alright. Call us if you need anything..."
