axel cleared his throat. "i had a fling with his grandson once. the poor kid shakes more than you do.."

He blinked and said, his arms a bit awkwardly held out at his sides as he tried to calm down, "A-Ah.."

he gently took dippers hand. "why do you shake, dipper?"

[peridot.]

As the other took his hand, his thoughts started going a bit too fast. The first answer that popped into his head, big and bold and angry, was Bill. But he couldn't just say that, so he mumbled, twitching a bit, "J-Just... nervous, about a-a-a lot."

[dannychan]

he blinked. "a lot of what, dip?"

[peridot.]

"B-Been through... a l-l-lot of stuff. W-When I w-w... was too young t-to really handle i...i-it emotionally." Sure, they'd driven Bill out, and it seemed like Gravity Falls was safe, but... there were still demons and monsters around, and besides, back when Bill had attacked the town... he'd been younger. Panicked. He'd had to fight because if he didn't he was gonna die, but he'd never really thought about what had happened until afterwards. He could remember sobbing until his entire body ached for almost a year afterwards.

[dannychan]

he frowned. "can you elaborate?"

[peridot.]

He took a deep breath, whimpering a little bit and shaking his head as he mumbled, "I... I... y-y-y-you know those d..demons I s-showed you? You k-k-know how I.. I t-told you their boss was d..d-d-dead?"

he nodded, gently rubbing the males arm with his free hand.

"Rick, be nice." Ford said softly, tilting his head to gently kiss the other's jaw. As he did this, Dipper blushed furiously and nodded quickly, saying a bit too loudly, "A-alright, okay!" He then turned and went to bolt after Axel, eyes wide.
