Even if it was a job Gray would normally enjoy--he didn't want the guy to think he was being...patronizing. "Right. Um--" He couldn't meet the kid's eyes. "Take someone else, please. I don't want people going alone. But--I need people who can scout the bottom of the mountain, see.....who else is in the area. Any settlements, any groups that seem...established. Or not.
