& please, someone help my baby boy.
 & 1/4 maori, 1/4 samoan, 1/2 caucasian
& his mother was young when she had him; young when she was thrown into the world of drugs and alcohol and sex. she'd gone all the way to hollywood from massachusetts in search for a job in acting. after getting pregnant with dollie when she was seventeen after a stupid one-night stand, she strayed away from parties and started working more towards her acting career, which, sadly, never got to set off before she was killed. she'd gone out to audition for a role, and left dollie with his uncle, a kind trans man. she didn't come back that night, which obviously caused concern, and three days later her body was found, beaten to death. dollie's uncle hid this from dollie, and just told him she'd died in a car accident.
& he prefers to go by val or even valley; anything but his first name, really. only people who are closest to him can call him doll or dollie and get away with it.
& his uncle became his guardian, after some
a lot of difficulty. he's very kind and patient, and tries his best to get dollie to talk to him but dollie is basically a hormonal teenager and doesn't listen.
& val got into the world of drugs and alcohol and overall partying when he was fifteen. he hangs out with the wrong crowd, long-story-short.
& he honestly just wants to feel wanted by someone other than his uncle, so he tries to please these people and when they ignore him, it hurts and he loses even more hope.
& there are days where he feels all negativity, and then the days where he feels empty, and he tries to drown his sorrows or fill up the void with alcohol and other drugs.
& there are very, very rare moments where things seem to start looking up. he'll go days, maybe even a week or more, without alcohol and stupid parties, and he'll actually draw or paint something, maybe write a poem or a few and share them with aj (his uncle) and they'll watch a movie, smile and laugh together. they're very rare and short-lived, but it shows that there is hope, even if val doesn't think there's any hope left for himself.
& he spends most of his time at "friends'" houses, smoking weed, popping pills and getting drunk. he wants to spend time alone, at home, reading and drawing, but at the same time he's lost his passion and his motivation to do anything but get high and drunk.
