— storytime: the twins' middle names; when liam and andy were born, their father had absolutely no say in any of the names her mother picked out for them. her mother had them when she was 18, so you can imagine how creative she got in the naming process. artemis and apollo are the twins' first middle names to pay homage to the twin god and goddess of the sun and moon. ironically, as they grew, liam became more fascinated with the moon and andy grew restless and fiery like the sun, even though they were named for the opposite entity. their second middle names are gordon and grayson. these were actually suggestions from their very comic book obsessed aunt. after taking the suggestions, maria found out that she'd named her kids for the first generation of batgirl and robin, dick grayson and barbara gordon. she liked the names, none the less.
