alrighty i'll make this a quickie bc i know i held you all up D:



enter atlas jones, originally from byron bay, australia. he lived there until he was almost eight and then his family moved to hawaii due to his father's job. he's basically a merman, spending as much time as he can in the ocean. he's been surfing since he was an itty bitty babe and he's got a job working as a lifeguard for the community pool in the area.

honestly he's lowkey one of those stereotypical 'good guys' - holds the door open for girls, always pays for dinner, super protective of his family. he's got a 1970 shelby gt that's been passed down the line from his family and he will cut anyone who touches it without his permission

he tries to be open-minded to everyone, but he does struggle with some violent thoughts (aggression / physically hitting / fist-fighting) that have resulted over time from his not-so-great home life. atlas lowkey gets giggly when he's drunk and will tell anyone anything when he's intoxicated. he adores dogs of any kind except for the naked ones and he gets sick if he goes on roller coasters unless he takes some sort of anti-nausea medication

atlas && maya / lowkey not really sure how atlas would treat maya... i feel like they could be friends, but they wouldn't necessarily be best friends. i think once we get in the thread i'd be able to get a better feel of their dynamic. but lowkey atlas would want to see her mood ring collection - even if it was from her childhood - and just kinda stare at it in awe

atlas && leilani / um were these two specifically made to be together? they both love water and the ocean and LEILANI HAS A DOG??? ATLAS IS IN LOVE!! i could see these two going surfing a lot together... their relationship could take a twist for romantic if you're interested, but i could see them being super close best friends to start. "hey i cant sleep wanna go for a swim and talk about family drama??"

i could lowkey see jason and atlas being pretty good friends... atlas could go over to his house sometime and just sit there like "tf my mom is probs sleeping with some random and my dad comes home drunk every night but ur mom makes you cookies??" also he loves kids as much as he loves dogs so they could have little play dates with jason's cousins

yes to all of that, especially the idea of him playing with jason's little cousins because the visuals on that would be amazing. i could definitely see the two of them getting drunk together, for sure. i also feel like atlas would love going to jason's place because he lives there with like half his family (two aunts, one uncle, all their kids, and his grand parents) and they all get along pretty well except for the occasional joking fist fight and atlas can't relate but he still thinks it's great?? like does that make sense??

atlas && jason / i could definitely see them getting drunk together and atlas just spills all of his secrets right there for jason to see but they're both too drunk to remember that anything happened so they literally both laugh their asses off when atlas talks about his family life and how much it sucks ass. also atlas would totally spend probably too much time at jason's house because of how lovely his family is... he'd be type of guy to just walk into the house and grab a popsicle and watch paw patrol with jason's cousins even if jason isn't even home and come over for dinner all the time. jason's house would be like his safe place for when his parents argue or if no one cooks him dinner at home because he's a shit cook

atlas && lilo okay so these two actually have quite a bit in common, including surfing / lifeguarding jobs / kind of shitty home life. lilo's home situation is definitely better, but i think they could still bond over it. i was thinking they could actually be coworkers together?? they could work at the same beach and indoor pool, which would give them quite a bit to talk about. also atlas would be hellbent on keeping her entertained so she doesn't get bored or start thinking negatively about situations
