hound
- legal name: peter jamison
- kidnapped at the age of three, hound was promptly used as an object for a small organization's personal profits. he was kept in a small, cold, stark white room with nothing but a mattress, and then taken into several other cold, white rooms where he was beaten by guards, used as bait for others further in their training, or verbally abused, overall accustoming hound to a surrounding of pure violence and hatred. as he matured and grew, so did his training. school education was limited, but he was taught the basics necessary for him to function moderately well in civilized surroundings. injected with various drugs to build muscle and increase his aggression, hound was basically a human fighting dog. once trained enough, they would set him on missions to assassinate their desired targets, and when bored, would pit him and the others against one another.
- hound gained his name through this lifestyle, the guards settling on the name after his extreme aggression and ability to hound after targets relentlessly until they were dead. ( those who did not fulfill their missions were beaten severely and punished repeatedly. those who succeeded were praised and used as a display for others to take after. hound grew to live for such praise and the approval of his superiors, so his relentless nature thus was built into him. )
- hound was loyal to his superiors for his entire time held captive there. but he was even more loyal to a man who was trained alongside him called rotter, after the rottweiler. ( the guards had a knack for naming the trainees after animals to maintain such derogatory meanings. ) rotter was older than he by a few years and had given him tips when he was first starting his training. the two were moderately close, but to an inexperienced boy such as hound, he grew fonder of the other than he should have. this attraction was noticed by the guards and trainers, and eventually the two were pitted against each other in attempt to sever any attachment or humanity still in them. the fight was brutal and messy, and hound ended up blinded in one eye, the other bloody, with multiple broken bones and was left heaving on the white floor, tears rolling down his cheeks and unable to breathe, rotter's foot on his back to hold him down and claim his victory.
- after recovering, rotter never spoke to him again, although something within hound sought forgiveness and yearned to rekindle the only human bond he had. this was a breaking point for hound, and shortly after did he escape after much planning.
- hound had no where to go after escaping his past and had no idea how to socialize with others. he winded up sleeping on the streets for some time before finding a gym that exclusively trained upcoming boxers. after some convincing, he was given a job there to clean up house, take care of the equipment, and run petty errands for those there, and in exchange was paid and allowed to crash there. eventually, he began training there as well, and began building his career as a boxer.
- during this time, hound began to dig into his roots, searching for himself, his parents- anything to quench his curiosity about where he came from. after much research and failed attempts, his found his name registered on a missing person's sight, a generated image aged by ten beside his baby picture matching his younger self eerily. he eventually found his mother's name and her contact information. hound called the number, but upon hearing a loud
"hello?" over the sound of children hollering, hound quickly hung up. he told himself to forget about the past, and never took up his legal name or acted on his findings.
- hound long ago came to terms with his sexuality, but had always been mocked and punished for such attractions, leaving him meek in the face of romance. he remains closeted and overall lacks any knowledge or experience with relationships.
- although raised in pure violence, hound is often mistaken as a man that couldn't do you no harm due to his quiet nature and being socially inept, but a true darkness made hound it's home long ago.
- suffers from a many nightmares and has developed insomnia since escaping, fearing his vivid nightmares so much he'd stay up all night.
- easily can be triggered into bouts of extreme violence and wrath, often blacking out during such episodes, but tries his best to control it and afterwards feels sorrow and shame.
- due to this, hound has developed a sort of fear of himself. he does not trust himself, and trusts others even less.
- although relatively sweet, hound is a man hardened by his experiences. at the end of the day, he is but a weapon, and such a nature cannot be extracted from him. he does not tolerate anyone hurting him or insulting him any longer, having felt the brunt of one too many feet on his back. he struggles with how he perceives himself, feeling much like a wolf in sheep's clothing- always pretending to be something he is not: something good, something pure.
- has problems with regulating his emotions.
- impulsive and reckless behavior.
- unstable relationships with other people.
- possesses a constant anger within himself and an inability to forgive those who have wronged him any more.
- difficult to love.
