even if wnr is kept up front, perhaps more things can... go on with tnw? more groups have been talked about by a number of people, more groupwide plots, etc.? i think a lot of people rooting to push wnr back are doing it because they feel like it would give tnw more of an opportunity to shine, so even if it's kept in place, just an overall enhancement of what's already going on in tnw?

[align=center][div style="background=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; font-size: 8.4pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 125%; width: 400px"]i'm late for this discussion but i wanted to add my own two cents about why i voted for the new world! i'm not really a discussion type of person, but i wanted to say my thoughts.
for me, this decision was difficult. i've been roleplaying animals for a very long time; pretty much my entire roleplaying "career." if you're coming from feralfront, i believe you know what i'm talking about. my entire interest in roleplaying began from reading warrior cats and wanting to roleplay that. it's hard for me to just leave that entirely behind me and focus on humans, despite how limiting roleplaying in wnr can be.
but along with that, the new world has really helped with improving my writing. if i compare my first posts with my first human to now, i can definitely see it. and when i make characters for tnw, it's fun to come up with new concepts for people, because i know that it's possible to get a little stretched - making my characters as real and diverse as possible makes me feel more connected to them.
and i feel like the majority of people who i know roleplay don't really roleplay animals. i would say that human roleplays take place more than animals do, aside from websites like ff and others that mainly focus on the warriors universe.
aaaaa this feels more like a rant than an actual thing to discuss,,,, but i did want to share something personal to explain what i felt.

i accidentally voted for other oof
but maybe idk other is best bc heres my opinion
tnw has more stable lore
it could do better and we could i think work more on lore and worldbuilding
however, wnr to me still feels really...cobbled together and haphazard and not at all cohesive as a whole? Like individual groups maybe but the overall theme just. I don't see one, really
I think as it is and without some p serious overhauling, tnw should be the main focus, but i think wnr could be something rlly cool if it just
were more of a thing
BUt also to add on to what some other people have said
while lots of ppl dont rp animals anymore and sites are mostly human tbh
there's still probably a need for an active community that has a Good animal rp
bc they're probably. declining
only problem is im not rlyl ure what we have is a /good/ animal rp? just like what i said up there abt. how i feel its been put together
but also yeah like im. if im gonna focus on anything its gonna be tnw. i want to advertise tnw, i want more groups in tnw and more plots and more ... going on. more focus
i think we need the ppl who are super passionate about wnr to really have th biggest hand in developing it so maybe if no one on staff is super into it, we need someone on staff who is, or else have a few specific consultants to really help move wnr into a good direction
yeah its just
whenever i look at it it feels like
yeah there was radiation stuff and now look theres all these powers and weird creatures and its just. so fantastical theres no system to it and thats one reason ive never been interested

So, if there was more order to it and removing fantasy creatures and powers, would it interest you and more people?
I know that would really put a damper on many characters and creative freedom if all of the fantasy was removed from it. Just in occultatum village, from what I've seen, many of the characters in there rely in that fantastical freedom to build the character that they are.

i mean
for me its not that theres fantasy
its that it feels like theres no real reason for any of it
every item in the shop except for real animals etc
feels like its under this umbrella excuse of 'radiation so it works'
like
when i am in sci fi or fantasy i want realism within its OWN Rules yknow?
like....its entirely a free for all and like
i love freedom for characters but like at a certain point it makes no sense
you can have all this stuff lmao but theres a difference between realistic roleplay where its based on the real world and realism where you make your own rules for an entirely new world like wnr
theres just rlly no worldbuilding or lore besides 'hey we can do w/e we want because nothing has any system or sense or reasoning to it' except for an umbrella reasoning and it just makes it so like...i cant craft a history on that, i cant weave the world into my writing bc there isnt a world.
im not saying its necessarily inherently bad its just why its turned me off from the beginning.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

yeah , I mean I'm sure it has its appeal to some people
its just. thats pretty much entirely why i've never enjoyed it whenever i've tried. Because I used to think it was just animal rp but--this and ff's main game was similar as it grew away from warriors though it had more than wnr does in terms o lore, it was just...really difficult to build a character and feel like an immersive world. so if that's how it is an how it's gonna stay, Idk how else it can be changed to make it more popular
I enjoy it the way it is as well. But, if it had more lore would it help to develop the world more and interest others?
