If anyone would let him, he’d stay in his limbo of anxiety and fear of disappointing his parents. Either way he’s disappointing them but they enable him in fear of hurting his feelings. Instead, they lowkey try and find things that pique his interest by visiting his work and giving him brochures for different colleges within the range of their home

— In reality, he does have something he wants to do besides being a waiter. That is being a lawyer and has wanted to do so ever since he was twelve years old. Law and Order was his revelation. He was and is obsessed with that show, knows everything about it. His parents know of this dream but fears that he isn’t bright enough to make it. Again, they don’t want to hurt his feelings, so they try and get him into things he’s actually good at. “Want to manage a restaurant?” “Want to be a game designer” “maybe anything... else?”

— His parents own the restaurant that he works at which may come as no surprise to those who know him as a waiter. His coping mechanism and perfectionism is disguised behind a bright smile and almost oblivious stare. Those who end up with him might end up with a forgotten drink, the wrong food, and totally ridiclous things that they never asked for. He loses his pen 24/7 despite it being behind one of his ears because somehow, he believes that makes him look 10x more attractive

— His kindness is taken for weakness especially by his off and on girlfriend at the moment. Having had popularity in high school and her being a social climber, she used that to her advantage while cheating on him behind his back. Being as absent-minded as he is, the whole school, no, town could know and he wouldn’t have a clue. When she does break up with him it’s for stupid reasons– you were staring at that girl too long. you forgot my birthday. And you already know he’s most likely to blame himself for it (and rant to poor customers)

— A people person– whether it’d be people his age, older, or children, he likes to be around people and whether people like him? It’s a one or the other situatuon. People either like him or they don’t and I mean, he can be a lot of a handful
