Sam chuckled softly, brushing his thumb along his cheek. "Shave off the damn beard." He said softly. He then pulled his brother back into a hug. He gently set a hand on the back of his head, his face in his shoulder. After a moment, Sam's eyes closed and his hand went limp, falling from the back of Dean's head.

he frowned when sam fell limp and felt for a pulse.

Sam had a pulse, but it was weak. Sam looked like he was in slight pain. Cas soon entered the room. He frowned when he spotted Sam. He moved over, setting the plate down on the table. He gently took Sam, leaning him back against the couch. His eyes widened a bit when he saw some blood trickling down from Sam's mouth. He quickly grabbed a towel, wiping the blood away.

"...It's been four years. Back then...Lucifer was possessing Sam for the first time. He must still have some connection to Sam for him to be able to take Sam's form and be able to trick you and me like that. Sam shouldn't be in pain like this. Lucifer must be doing something to Sam." Cas whispered.

He frowned. He moved out of the room to go contact Crowley. After a minute, Crowley and Cas walked back into the room. "What's going on Dean?" Crowley asked. He frowned when his gaze landed on Sam. "Shit. What happens to the kid?" He asked. Sam was struggling to breathe a bit.

Crowley frowned, watching him. Cas sighed. "We think Lucifer is harming him somehow since he still has ties to Sam." He said. Crowley nodded.

"Alright. Dean, stay with your brother. Cas and I will deal with Lucifer." He said. He then disappeared along with Cas, leaving Sam and Dean alone.
