It was a few days later. Arthur had returned in time for Guiass's funeral. Since then, they had a new physician replace Guiass. De was a younger woman, but equally as skilled as he was. Arthur had just finished his training for the day and was going to his room to relax.

Once he entered, he stopped when he spotted Merlin sitting in the bed. He slowly entered the room, closing the door behind him. He looked Merlin over. "Hey...You okay Merlin?" He asked. He wasn't sure why or when Merlin returned to Camelot. He was sure r would have stayed at his village.

merlin looked up, eyes red and teary. he hesitated. "uh.. i didn't know who else to.." he mumbled.

He blinked, slowly moving over to Merlin. He sat down beside him. "Hey, it's alright." He whispered. He slowly raised a hand, setting it on his back.

[dannychan]

he looked down. "he's actually dead.."

[Leafwing12]

Arthur slowly rubbed his back."...I'm sorry Merlin. I know what he meant to you. I can't even imagine how you're feeling right now." He whispered.

he took a shaky breath.

He glanced down, sighing. He then glanced at his friend. He could see how upset he was. He blinked. At that moment he pushed all his pride away. He let himself soften up a bit. His friend needed comfort. And it was alright not to act like a prince right now. He slowly turned so he was facing Melin. He then slowly opened his arms, offering a hug to Merlin.
