it was already dark by the time joseph texted robert again, and it was just a quick and simple 'please come over.' followed by 'i got whiskey.'

[peridot.]

He blinked and frowned as he got the text, and he hesitated before sending back, I'll be right over. It was around fifteen minutes before he showed up at Joseph's house, knocking quietly on the door.

[dannychan]

joseph opened the door, and when he did, he honestly looked like shit. he looked at robert and hesitated. "i got the kids a baby sitter so.. they're over there.." he said and led him inside and to the couch.

[peridot.]

He frowned and said softly as he followed the other, tilting his head, "Are you okay...? What happened?" He gently touched the other's side, frowning a little.

[dannychan]

he hesitated. "as soon as i started trying to talk to her she started yelling.. then i started yelling.. and i sighed the papers. she's just going to leave. she already has.." he mumbled, sitting down. there was a bottle of whiskey on the table, and a half empty wine bottle that looked like it had recently been full. yes, joseph had been drinking quite heavily before robert got there.

Noticing the bottles, Robert frowned and gently led the other over to the couch, saying quietly as he pushed him down, "C'mon, sit down. I'm so sorry."

[dannychan]

joseph looked down, his lips twitching and gritting his teeth. "i didn't want tom he kids to see.. to see me like this.." he whimpered, tears forming as he looked down.

[peridot.]

He frowned and sat down beside the other, pulling the other into his arms and saying softly, "Hey, hey, it's okay. The kids aren't here right now, you can just let it out. You'll be okay."

[dannychan]

he blinked. thanks. i think i'll need it.

He sighed and stretched, getting up and heading off to deal with his squirrel.
