Once upon a time, there was an angel. Celestial blood running through gold crafted veins, with their smile that could replace all of the suns combined, their eyes were filled with life that was planted in soils, hidden away from the world. As their creator forced them to wear a halo around their neck for beauty rather than identity and clipped their wings to prevent them from reaching freedom, they shed tears everyday until their life blossomed death, and they fell.

( Oh, little dove, star child, what was it like to burn? )

Though, their second chance was given, and they grew up with the Devil's heart stitched to their rotten organs and learnt how to tell white lies, they would always receive a reminder from the sky above and the ground underneath them it was never too late to continue growing. Eventually, they took it, and grew, and grew, and grew, despite part of them believing life meant nothing to them, as if it even was real in the first place.

At the end of the day and night, they tried to be better, and tried, and tried, and that had to mean something at least.
