Sherlcok bit back a remark, staring at John. He seemed a bit pissed to say the least. The  doctor frowned. "We're giving you the transplant in an hour." He said before leaving the room. Sherlock didn't pay attention to the doctor.

"Sat you did and they'd don't have any to give you. You'd be in the same situation as me right now. If I loved and you died, what do you think I'd do John? I'd be right back to taking drugs and probably jumping off the damn building. You soinvthat woukd have want nothing then." He said

he frowned. "you said it yourself. i'm a soldier."

He blinked. "That doesn't matter John. I can't do this. Not without you. I can't have yountaking that risk." He whispered. He glanced down. "If I love dans you died...I don't know what I'd do. You're the only reason I didn't jump that day. You're the only one holding me together." He whispered.

he frowned. "if you die, then you know what i'll do."

Sherlock stared at him before looking away. He frowned. "....I love you." He whispered

he leaned to kiss him gently. "i love you too.. please dont leave me, ok? ill see if i can be in the room or something during the surgery.. or do it if it makes you feel any better.."

He blinked. "John I'll be knocked out during it. You can stay in here if you want." He said.  He rubbed his hand with the back of his thumb. Sherlcok frowned, looking down. After a while, the doctor came in.

"Good news. The person who is the doner for your kidneys is also the doner for your lungs as well." The doctor said. Sherlock glanced up at him.

"...May I ask who this is coming from? Are they still alive?" He asked. The doctor sighedz

"Sadly no. He knew what would happen if we did this. So you must be a good friend if they're dying for you." He said. "His name was Gregson Lestrade. He was the inspector down in Scotland Yard." He said. Sherlock froze, staring at the doctor. He glanced down after a moment.

john stared and covered his mouth. "oh god.." he whispered shakily.

He frowned. "I'm sorry. We could have kept him on some form of life support until some lungs came in for him. He said he didn't want to be hooked to some machine and he was alright with whatever outcome as long as you two were alive." He said.

Sherlock frowned, keeping his gaze down. He stayed silent.

he kept his mouth covered and turned away from the two, closing his eyes for a moment.
