- kiara banks was born into money, as her father is the dean of the university she went to. since she was a little kid, she's always been expected to act a certain way and since it started from such a young age, she'd grown to suppress her emotions quite well, making her deal with inner turmoil that bloomed throughout her middle and high school years

Her brother is what you call, the typical perfect student everyone is impressed by he does and says all the right things, although he's a phony. Behind their father's back he's having sex and smoking weed, not like either of these are bad in her eyes, but they are in their father's, as they are expected to basically be perfectionist, held above a higher standard to American eyes

― alaska, first off, is nineteen years old. he is a sophomore in his local university, where his father happens to be extremely important. he has never known his mother, as she's taken off when he was much younger, with a different family. since he never really knew her, he doesn't stress about it too much, knowing many people experience the struggles of having one parent but because of this, he's missed out on that love and nurture. not that his father can't be soft, but his father has always been hard on him being successful, getting where he is.
― grew up in one of those mini mansions in those gated communities. half of the time growing up since he was old enough to look after himself, he spent his time in his house alone. not like this was extremely stressful, as he took advantage of it to throw parties once he got over the fear of his father catching him, but he often did feel alone. the only time his father and him really had a talk is when his father was hoping to benefit off of him doing something good.
― despite all the stress, alaska is a super sweetheart, definitely the "mom friend" who is always looking after everyone, making sure that they're all alright. he has a really good heart, he really does, just has involved himself with the wrong people. as in this, these are the people who do drugs and always push him into bad influence, take advantage of his kindness. He's basically the chaperone for some of his friends. not that he minds it, but when he needs them the most, half of the time they're not there, at least most of them. Some of them he's lucky to have around who really are
― doesnt know this, but has a half sister on his mother's side. Has never met her, but unknowingly they have each other added on Facebook through mutual friends. This is extremely ironic as neither, when they find out, knows how it happens but I guess you could in the end presume it as fate
— he is a frat boy to the extreme, and on both the baseball and football team. Athletics take up most of his life when it isn't homework and lowkey, he is extremely overwhelmed but do to his dad's impossible ass standards, he doesn't tell him that
— in high school, he took photography instead of art and ended up liking it. He's very photogenic as well as having passion for taking pictures of the surroundings around him. It's his best self form of expression to be honest
— he's so goofy, like a big puppy dog that no one can take seriously most of the time.
— he's got a lot of offer ups of dates from girls and although he does find lots of girls pretty or attractive, it's never his first priority. In fact, he'd look at a piece of pizza romantically before he ever looked at a girl that way. Many people think he's a prude because he's not that kind of person to make a huge move on the first date and honestly? It's the truth. He's only ever lost his virginity and never slept with anyone after that
