The wind got stronger, mostly pushing rick at this point.

Daryl blinked, stopping his horse. Rick blinked, frowning. Daryl frowned, glancing up at the sky where the smoke was coming from. He frowned. He reached over, grabbing the horse's reins and started leading rick's horse along.

Jesus growled and the ground started to shake violently.

The horses suddenly reared back. Daryl shushed them, trying to calm them. Rick frowned, tugging the horse's reins. The horse snorted, turning around.

He narrowed his eyes, and he lay back.

Daryl sighed. "We're going to have to turn back. You know he's not going to let us go anywhere." He said. Daryl frowned.

"We have to see what that is. If it's a fire it could spread to the town and endanger everyone." Daryl said.

"If it is, we won't be able to stop it." He said.

"No. But if we know what it is, we can prepare the others." Daryl said. He sighed. "Go back Rick. I've got this." He then flicked the reins. His horse then shot off. Rick watched him leave, frowning.

Jesus sighed and covered his eyes.

Rick frowned, waiting a moment before going after him.

Daryl had been riding for a while before slwoling the horse. He looked around, examining where the smoke came from.

There was another shake and a lot of tree roots burst from the ground and grabbed rick.

The horse whinnied and reared back away from the tree roots.

Daryl glanced around, soon spotting the smoke. He blinked. It looked like a small forest fire had started. How it did, he had no idea. But it appeared to be dying down. He frowned, pulling the horse's reins. The horse shook its head before turning around.
