— & at least puberty hit him like a truck, he's got that going got him.
— & he has a twin brother, and he's the younger twin by approximately 20 minutes, give or take, but he's the taller one and has a deeper voice so haha @ bro.
— & he believes he is the less attractive twin by a long shot.
— & "the only thing i'm good at it is wrapping presents" he says. a montage of him cooking tasty breakfasts and dinners, painting, doing gymnast things, and taking care of his family starts to play. "...i'm only good at wrapping presents and not being good enough."
— & he is constantly exhausted both physically and mentally and it's painfully obvious, but he always deflects any concerns/worries.
— & "what's wrong?" rhys, crying and having a breakdown, "nothing, i'm fine, it's fine, everything's okay, life is great, i love my family and friends, everyone is beautiful, life is good."
— & trigger warning: his brother attempted suicide when they were fourteen years old, and rhys always blamed himself for "not seeing it sooner" and "being a horrible brother." his twin had always been the most cheerful, upbeat person he knew, and the sudden attempt at taking his own life surprised everyone.
— & his brother started seeing a therapist and was put on antidepressants, which have seemed to help a lot. rhys is terrified of it happening again, and is always worrying about his brother and taking care of him when times get really rough.
— & he's suppressed all his own negative thoughts and feelings for the sake of others, especially his brother. he basically ignores his problems and lets them simmer and age and get progressively worse because he thinks his feelings are stupid and nothing compared to others'.
— & he's prone to anxiety attacks, and whenever someone tries to help him he waves them off or pushes them away or chokes on his words telling them he's fine.
— & when he knows he's going to have a breakdown and can't keep it in, he'll run off to a secluded area, most of the time his bedroom because he's usually at home when it happens and he'll lock himself away for hours and won't let anyone comfort him.
— & he seems fine, if you don't really know him. he's got loving parents, a beautiful older sister, a caring twin brother, and lives comfortably financial-wise. he's good at making others smile and laugh, and while he's not as upbeat as his brother, he is humorous and can be silly.
— & he started working out with his brother when they were fifteen. it's a good source of letting off steam and getting your mind off other things.
— & Gay as Heck but never acts out on any attraction because he thinks he's not good enough and everyone is out of his league :^) when a guy he likes comes up to him and flirts with him, he immediately is like "No" and walks away with tears in his eyes. honestly whenever someone comes up to him and starts flirting he gets confused and then Sad and just walks away after letting them down as gently as possible.
