It was the next day. Keith had stayed down on earth. He just slept in the black lion. In the morning, he managed to find some casual clothes to change into so he wasn’t in his bulky armor. He had managed to find his way to the hospital though. Once he arrived, he moved off to find a nurse to get some information on Lance. To his relief, Lance was alive just resting and healing.

He was allowed to visit Lance though. Keith followed behind the nurse. Once in Lance’s room, the nurse left. Keith’s arched her leave before his gaze landed on Lance.

lance was hooked up to all sorts of machines. he had gotten a punctured long, so he had a breathing tube in his nose, a blood transfusion, all sorts of bandages, and something to inject him with morphine every few hours. he slowly looked at keith, and winced slightly. "the doctors said that.. i'm paralysed.. but there's still.. still a chance i'll walk.."

Keith looked him over. He then slowly approached the bed, looking the machines over and then looking at Lance. “...Hey, It’s okay, Lance....We don’t have to talk now. Save strength and get some rest.” Keith murmured. He hesitated before easing a hand and setting it on his shoulder. “I’m sure you will walk again. You’re one of the most stubborn people I know. If you have that will to walk again, I know you’re not going to stop trying until you achieve that.” Keith murmured.

he hesitated. "why did you leave?"

Keith looked down. “...I don’t know.” He whispered. Wow. That was a terrible answer. He sighed. “...I panicked. I didn’t know how to help you and I...” He trailed off, sighing. “I’m sorry...Lance. I shouldn’t have left.” He said

he sniffed. "damn right! y-you were the only thing keeping me from losing it.."

Keith glanced down. “...I’m so sorry Lance.” He whisoered. “It’s just...That was your family and...I didn’t want to feel like I was intruding and...” He trailed off. He sighed, looking at Lance. “....You’re alive. Just get some rest and get better.” He murmjred.

he sniffed, looking at the ceiling. "i didn't know what to tell the doctors when they asked what happened.."
