— going through some stuff. never talks about it, just a whole "my least favorite subject is me" scenario. has a noticeably hard time differentiating negative experiences from positive ones, too. he's gone through a lot of shit, and as a result tends to shrug off things he definitely shouldn't and fails to come to terms with a lot of things he should. what can easily and quickly be recognized as abuse and neglect is pretty much seen as normal and typical in his eyes. he was sheltered and mistreated for a majority of his life, and the actions of his family and those he grew up with left him with a number of habits people usually think he should kill.
— eventually realizes that yeah, his parents were shit, but he's still convinced that they had to have loved him and cared about him to some degree if they actually took the time and effort to raise him.
— prays at night, before eating, etc. he has this little thing where he'll pray for someone if they give him something, and he claims that the only reason he does it is so he won't feel guilty knowing that he might not be able to return the favor with something physical.
— can easily recite bible verses. he didn't get his hands on many books growing up, so he ended up reading the bible over and over, front to back, a dozen times.
— "it is what it is" sort of attitude in regards to life, and believes strongly that everything happens for a reason. he'd probably avoid saying it himself, but he's thoroughly convinced that all that happens to him and others is just "part of god's plan".
— reasonably adaptable and decently admirable. non-confrontational in the sense that he wouldn't go out of his way to approach someone if he's aware that they have issues with him, but if it's the other way around, he'd have no quarrels with arguing or getting physical.
— top notch humor includes: bad puns, knock-knock jokes, references to movies only two people understand, and more bad puns.
— dice god
— literally don't gamble around him because chances are you'll always lose your shit if you're playing against him.
— at least a little arrogant. he'll find anything to brag about.
— "hey can you get me that thing from the top shelf" "fuck yeah i'm the best at getting shit off shelves"
— also: incredibly vulgar. he doesn't even try to keep himself from cursing around kids he literally does not care
