How would she move him? If she did, one of the ribs could puncture his lung and she wouldn't be able to care for him if that happened. They didn't have the technology to get the blood out from his lung and he'd suffocate. "If I cut you open, you'll bleed out or you'll contract sepsis which is way worse than this. Do you want to die?" she asked flatly, closing her eyes and shaking her head with an exasperated sigh. What kind of stupid question was that? He already tried to kill himself once, and now almost seemed like he was purposely trying to get himself killed again.
If he was skilled in combat, taught by the military, how could he let himself get overpowered like this? "Don't answer that." she mumbled, looking over her shoulder at Johannes. "If we lift him now something could go wrong... I need something flat he can lay on so we can safely bring him to the lodge."

The teen had been drawn over by all the commotion, but didn't say anything until he saw what the cause for all the controversy was. Most wounds he could handle looking at without any problem, but bullet wounds were another situation. If Jack had just crushed the man's skull, he might have been ok. Well, he'd be horrified and join the people going off on Jack, but he wouldn't be staggering back and nearly throwing up. His hand flew to his mouth, and it looked as if vomit may explode past his fingers, but he swallowed it down.
What was much harder to push down was the image of his adopted mother, a pool of blood surrounding her body, dark hair fanning out around her head. A hole in her forehead. But he made himself stare at it, take not of the injuries inflicted and the number of bullet holes. Did Soldier empty his fucking clip? This was the literal definition of overkill, it had to be.
His cold gaze turned towards Jack. Maybe he'd done this for the right reasons or whatever, to protect a kid, but this was too much. Way too much. Only a monster turns his gun on another human being not in self defense. He thought, rubbing his hands up and down his arms.
Gray couldn't agree more with Johannes' decision to take his bullets, it was about fucking time. He was dangerous and unstable and he was glad the others were understanding that. Obviously he'd still be dangerous with or without his gun, but it was a start. "Should I search his room to make sure he doesn't have anymore ammo hidden there?" He sneered, though he didn't expect to be given permission (his tone indicated that he didn't actually mean it, as well). It was more to make a point than anything else.
Things had moved away from punishing Jack to treating him, but Gray would be lying if he said he had much sympathy. He would if Soldier was the one laying brutally murdered in the grass, but comparatively he got off much easier and done far more damage, most damage being unnecessary.
