quick origin story — asher got into stick and poke tattoos when he was twelve and saw a stick and poke booth at a shady ass carnival. for three years after, he never actually attempted one because he was too scared; instead he resorted to just drawing the designs he wanted on himself to remember them for later.


• the first tattoo he ever gave himself was a small equilateral triangle on his left wrist just below his palm. there's no story behind this one other than it was the one he saw the most in tutorials so it was the one thing he knew actually how to do pretty well.
• his next important tattoo is the date 6/21 on the left side of the ring finger on his right hand. june 21st, also written as 6/21 (or 21/6), is his birthday.
• he and his parents' zodiac signs was the fourth tattoo he ever did. on his right wrist just below his palm are the symbols for capricorn, libra, and gemini stacked in a straight line on top of each other.
• an inch below the zodiac signs are two lines around his arm, one red and one black. it was his first time using colored ink and he'd been shooting for just two short, parallel lines, but he screwed it up and went with the two rings instead.
• his favorite tattoo is on the inner part of his left forearm and upper arm, and is a map of the solar system. it took him almost two weeks to finish, not including the month he spent sketching it out for reference. he considers it to be the greatest tattoo he's ever done, both because it's so intricate and the blue, red, green, and yellow ink he used really sets it off.
