A proportionately long, graceful neck with a sharp Adam's apple, dark freckles and light scars. He's a strange mixture of sharp corners and gentle curves. There's something distinctly royal about him. His cheekbones are high but not too heavily pronounced. I would almost call his face heart shaped, but the lines are too sharp and his chin isn't delicate. Solidly built but not overtly muscular, when he's fully clothed you can hardly tell that he's as fit as he is aside from the general shape of him. Very coltish when he was a child, but he's easily grown into his height and generally long legs. Well-muscled and powerful now, in a lean, corded way.

His hair is a medium dark color, though it seems impossible to find an actual word for it. It's a moderate brown with golden hints in the sunlight, but with an intense reddish tint? You don't look at it and think "red" but you might think of copper. His eyes are a pretty sort of amber-brown, as if someone had mixed milk chocolate and fire.

He loves to be immersed in what he knows, hearing stories about his brother's hunt yesterday rather than read the passage he should be reading for his tutor. He loves visceral reality, history that he can feel. Stories that are vibrant and things that he can touch. And it makes him want to be a part of everything. He likes life that he can touch, if that makes any sense at all. Pressed shoulder to shoulder with another person fighting at his side, learning history through someone alive. It's hard to put words to this, but Valen isn't a scholar in the typical sense. He's someone who goes out of his way to experience life and learn what everything means.

I really really love the words themselves. DO HIS JOINING THREAD WHEN I GET HOME. He's looking for Storm because he's gay. His father's been sick for some time but is tentatively back on his feet, though Valen is not optimistic. He's a bit more mature and serious, but I'm praying that this doesn't last lmao.
