Greg watched her. After a moment, a smile broke out on his face. "Yeah, she is. She's beautiful." He said. Sherlock watched Greg. A soft smile formed on his face.

he smiled and sat on the edge of the bed, looking at sherlock.

Greg looked at Sherlock. "Thank you Sherlock." He murmured. Sherlock nodded.

"You're welcome Lestrade." He said.

john hummed. "what will you name her?"

He blinked. "I dont know." He murmured. He glanced at Sherlock. "Perhaps Brooke?" He said, watching Sherlock. Sherlock's smile faltered and a sudden wave of sadness seemed to cross over his face. He swallowed, looking down.

"Thats a nice name." He whispered.

he nodded and smiled before noticing sherlock. "greg, could you give us a minute?"

Greg blined, watching Sherlock. He cursed under his breath, but nodded. He turned, leaving the room.

he brushed sherlocks hair back. "what's wrong?"

Sherlock glanced down. He stayed silent for a while, taking a few moments to regain his composure. "I had a daughter once named Brooke." He whispered. "That was...A few years ago. Just getting out of high school. I was with a girl then. Her name was Maria. She was honestly beautiful. We were in a relationship for a year. We got engaged once we found out she was pregnant. But...During childbirth, Maria ended up passing away due to complications. I made a vow that I was going to protect our daughter no matter what. But she...She was born with a disease. Once that claimed her life before she even reached her first birthday." Sherlock whispered.
