Michaelis is also less broody and dark, and is more dominant both in the sheets and in the streets, and a whole lot less feminine. Michael's first name is another form of the archangel Michael's own name, and his surname literally translates to warrior.
Michaelis wants someone to balance him out and seeks companionship lightly, and his obsession with his past lover is far less than Seafoam's.

- When excited, has erratic movements, such as fidgeting and brushing his hand through his hair, because what he says gets him too thrilled to stay in one place. His last ditch effort to remain composed resorts to him fiddling with anything on his person or around him to keep him anchored.
- Utterly charming and tries to worm through people's defenses by appealing to their thoughts. This usually falls flat because he miscalculates and says too much.
- Inflated ego that he is ridiculously aware of, so he mentions it often (i.e., "i like hearing the sound of my own voice")
- Very honest because he thinks it's stupid to spare people their feelings. It's his policy and unless lying benefits him, it's rare to see him do it.
- Hates women who size him up and threaten his well-being, and will admit to these feelings out loud without being asked to.
- He's not overly intelligent. He doesn't know everything and doesn't claim to, and that's that.
- Michaelis is the type of person to flirt without realizing it. It's like a first language to him.

right now darcio is a little quieter than most? he's charming in his own shy way but he's mostly very reserved when it boils down to it. he jokes around occasionally but has a hard time loosening up after being mostly around his son for twenty five years and not having any opportunities for much else social interaction, which bleeds into him having difficulty forming close bonds. he had postpartum depression for a while when he was given his son and thus tried to stay away from him for the first four years, which gives him a lot of guilt and he's still trying to make up for it. gets separation anxiety really easily from being away from Jules.
a younger darcio was more open and optimistic about life - he'd been in sports as a kid and planned to become a detective. he was very doting and a closeted hopeless romantic growing up in a conservative home, which makes his views slightly dated in the sense that while he isn't homophobic, he isn't crazy over it, either, and has many ideals that would deduct points from his popularity with others.
somewhere in the future darcio goes through a big change with jules and actively goes through a point where he's so forlorn and upset with his own failed parenting that he starts drinking and becoming a whole different version of himself, far more darker than he was before. his manipulative side will start to shine through and he'll become more calculating, pushing his charm in order to achieve his goals, much like a predator intent on fooling its prey.
