but then cat and dog played while shuffling on spotify and i kept replaying yeonjun's fucking barking,,, so now here we are with oli most likely going to be either in his late teens-very early 20s bc now i gotta decide who in txt is gonna be his fc

some wip notes for this boy i put on discord
[spoiler=backstory stuff]-oliver choi's parents include a loving father, a caring mother, and a rebellious older brother (all unnamed NPCs atm). his mother had died during his birth due to severe complications that were out of anyones' hands. his father was heavily troubled to say the least about losing his wife, but had never put any blame on oliver and instead tried to be there for the young boy- which went well. however, his older brother wasn't as accommodating. he was extremely attached to his mother and fully placed all blame on oliver for her death. oliver's brother continuously bullied him ever since they were young, making oliver have an extremely low view on himself, believing himself to be a monster that would never truly be loved, only bringing in more chaos into everyone's lives (among other things)
- oliver ran away from the small group his family was living with around 18 years old, finally having enough of his brother's torment and his father's unwillingness to step in (though oliver truly did love his father and partially understood why he never intervened.) oliver lived on his own and with other small groups here and there, until he stumbled on asphodel a year later while they were above ground. he's been staying there since and isn't planning on joining another group in the near future[/spoiler]
- oliver is 19, identifies as male, uses he/him pronouns, and is of full korean descent (he is completely fluent in korean but only uses english with everyone unless someone speaks korean/wants to learn korean)
- his insecurities, fears, and other things are inspired by the boy with horns storyline from txt's "crown" & "nap of a star"
- oliver doesn't yet have a set personality, but he's a mess. he's a kind, understanding, and slightly anxious boy with no self control and seems to put himself in trouble a whole lot
- he has a pet rat he named "kimchi" that he met underground (named kimchi due to it being his parents' favorite meal before everything bad happened)
- he has a habit of sleeping anywhere. he'll gladly sleep on the cavern floors if it means he can sleep. he has caused a few tripping injuries and a few bruises on himself due to having people stumble into his sleeping body. it doesn't deter him though because he loves sleep (i'm not sure if this should be a form of narcolepsy or not)
- he also likes eating,,, a lot. he can be found inside one of the various storage areas used to store food and stuffing himself with food (as well as kimchi.) however, he doesn't take too much and does feel extreme guilt after each 'raiding trip' and works hard replenishing what he's consumed
- gets easily anxious when it comes to people with authority which stems from his older brother. this could tie to people with power in groups, but can also just be regular day adults. however, it doesn't take much to calm him down and allow him to trust them
- feels comfortable and at ease when alone, with kimchi, surrounded by flora and fauna, and with children
- really loves little children and easily sees any as a sibling. due to having a very bad viewpoint on older sibling figures due to his brother (and to an extent, family), he wishes to do anything to make any child feel loved, especially those that feel alienated or alone. he loves playing games with the kids, teaching them anything he knows, and learning alongside them. he allows children to hold kimchi, which he doesn't let anyone do. he also adores telling the children stories, especially those that his father had told him when he was younger, and would gladly sing any of them to sleep.

- he has no set weapon, but he is surprisingly good at throwing daggers

- his biggest goal in life is to be in a family that truly loves him and that he can love back
