He blinked. “I’m aware sir.” He said. “Just make sure you eat breakfast afterwards.” Nine said. He then headed over, sitting beside Connor on the couch. Connor blinked, looking over at Nine.

“...When is Lieutenant Anderson coming back?” Connor asked.

“A few weeks Connor. Maybe three or four more at most. Don’t worry, it’ll go quickly. You’ll be back with him before you know it.” Nine said

he nodded and hummed. “he said he’d face time to make sure everything was ok.” he said and looked at connor, handing him the syringe and the kitten. “wanna try?”

Connor froze a bit. “I’d...Rather not. I don’t want to mess up and somehow hurt the kitten.” He murmured

he blinked. “you won’t. all you have to do is hold the syringe up and let her do the rest.” he said. “there’s not much left, it won’t be too long.”

Connor hesitated before nodding. “...Okay.” Connor murmured. Nine watched him silently.

he made sure connor had it and moved to get food.

Connor blinked, gently petting the kitten’s back lightly as he held the syringe still so the kitten could eat. He seemed to relax a bit.

after a while, the kitten was finished, and looked at connor, meowing softly before turning to sumo and launching herself at him. gavin caught the kitten mid flight and hummed. “no you don’t.” he said and sat down, setting the kitten in his lap.

Sumo glanced over at the kitten. He shifted a bit, leaning his neck forward, sniffing at the kitten. He then licked the kitten’s head softly before moving back down to lay on his side. Connor watched them.

“...Fiesty kitten.” Connor murmured after a moment. Nine chuckled softly.

“Kind of like you in a way. I do have your previous memories, I know how you acted at times.” Nine said.

gavin scoffed. “connor isn’t that feisty. at least not as feisty as ducky, here..” he said and watched as the kitten whacked sumo on the nose- though, she didn’t have from class, so it wouldn’t hurt. he hummed as he ate.
