When everybody was done being welcomed into - or welcomed back - to Hogwarts, and everyone was streaming back towards their new homes for the rest of the year. He had looked around eagerly until he spotted Draco. Quickly rushing after the other, he said softly, coming up on the other's side, "Malfoy! Do you wanna walk around with me?"

draco had been scompleeky out of it the entire time. he hadn’t touched any food, just stared off into space. a few of the ghosts had tried to get a reaction out of him, but not even peeves could get something out of him. when harry came over, the ghosts gave a relieved sigh as draco shifted and looked at him. “what..?” he mumbled.

Harry gave Draco a soft smile and said quietly to the other, "I asked if you wanted to walk around with me. They've done a bunch of repairs and stuff, so things are a lot different, and I didn't wanna wander around by myself." He then said, glancing to the side, "I know a couple of people who came back, but... I only really care about you, and I figure it must be boring sitting by yourself."

he watched harry, frowning. “like shit you care about me, but whatever..” he muttered and slowly stood, making sure his sleeves didn’t bind up pas his wrists.

Harry winced and sighed, saying softly, "Draco, I really just want to be friends with you. I do care about you." He then turned to lead the other male after him.

he looked at the letter, and suddenly his eyes filled with tears and it was obvious he was good at holding things back, since after a few blinks, they were gone and two deep breaths stopped the quivering in his lips. he looked away, curling back up. when the other couldn’t see, that’s when tears started to fall, but silently. he didn’t make any noise, just sat there, staring out the window.

He watched the other for a moment before curling up a bit as well, humming softly as he curled the parchment up and put it back in his bag. He wanted to comfort Draco and tell him about how he forgave him and just wanted to try and be friends, but he also didn't wanna make the other any more upset.
